We have this real nice OL prospect, Ilm Manning, who Foerester seems to hate the idea of giving any opportunity to.

Maybe.

burford is at 50 pff. last Bartch rating was 55. So it's a little step up. Hopefully won't get trucked like burford did last game.

The pass blocking now is different in importance than it was for jimmy. Now we are talking about the crown jewels.

Shanny better wake up and smell the coffee. Give up that OZ pipe dream of having 270 pounders wash safeties 15 yards down field.

Manning hasn't played in the regular season. The fact that Burford continues to struggle, particularly in pass protection, and still keeps starting makes one believe the coaches do not believe Manning is at all ready for the big time.

We need to remember that the coaches see a lot of the PS guys on the scout team. Manning gets a lot of looks going against AA and Hargrove, and while those guys are better than 90% of any other DTs he might face, it does give the coaches a good barometer of Manning's readiness to start.

Yes, I think Burford's poor play leads a desire to try anything else...but we may not like the results.

I saw a tape on him at Right tackle and his footwork looked good from preseason. I think his footwork is better for a tackle position. The only reason I can think of Manning would not be given a chance.
