sirianni is the most arrogant cockiest coach in the league. no class at all.

best possible outcome is we beat them comfortably and in the fourth quarter before we pull the starters shanny calls up a run pay to the right and big trent pulls out sprinting right on that play an meets reddick on that side with a pancake block that puts him on his ass, an after it tells him "that was for brock". boom.

It's only right as our new main rivals' HC that he's a cocky, cringe f**k. Afterall, he is replacing this dude:

It's hard to take Carroll seriously when he looks like someone's grandma.

therefore, this game will be huge if we can win it

I think they lose to Dallas especially if we beat the Eagles convincingly. They will be shellshocked, and if they lose the Dallas game, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a tough one with Seattle, depending where they are at.

Yep, this'll be the start of Philly's lucky streak coming to an end. Sunday can't get here soon enough!

they can't keep winning by the skin of their teeth, luck will run out

The Eagles are f**ked.

good week to revisit the classic Bill Burr Philly rant, he talks about the statue, among others

Yeh they are pompous s**t talkers. When the Cowboys and Seahawks talk s**t, its hard to take them seriously. The Eagles need a good ass beating to bring them back down to earth.

Same for me. Most younger 49ers' fans don't give a s**t about the Cowboys because they were too young or didn't exist to experience that rivalry. The Seahawks have been the main rival for any 49ers' fan around 35 and younger, but they're irrelevant now and for the foreseeable future. Also, I heard from my Seattle buddies that the fairweather "12s" are abandoning ship in droves. It's hard to have disdain for a pathetic and feeble rival.

Eagles' fans have always been scummy for as long as I can remember. They broke our franchise QB's elbow last year in the f**king Championship game, and their players are still talking s**t about it. Most of us expect to play them in the NFCC. It's all coming to head. They're on the precipice of becoming our number one rival.

we're there dude

80s - NYG
90s - DAL/GB
2000 - STL
2011-2015 - SEA
2017-2021 - LAR
2022-now - PHI

The Dallas hatred goes back farther than any of that. For the younger set:

The 49ers were playing the Cowboys in the NFCCG in 1972 and had a 28-13 lead going into the 4th quarter. Roger Staubach replaced Danny White and drove the Cowboys to a touchdown with 1:30 remaining. The Cowboys lined up for an onside kick. The ball went to Preston Riley who fumbled it (think Kyle Williams). Dallas recovered and Staubach drove them down again for the win. It was the third year in a row that Dallas had beaten the 49ers. That memory was still vivid for The Catch game. All those other bumps in the road you listed are just unpleasant memories that pale whenever Dallas is mentioned.

Ironically, the Immaculate Reception happened on the same day. Had the fates been different, the Raiders and 49ers would have played in the Super Bowl that year.
Hassan Reddick is right the 49ers players did a lot of crying wolf and talking this off season. They better come prepared and back all of that up.

I mean how would you feel if you lost both of your QBs for majority of the championship game?

good question, imo You tip the cap and move on, for example if they start the game with Hurts, and finish with no QB, I'll say we whipped em, and get well Hurts and whoever the backup is Mariota maybe..

saying we would have won with Brock, well maybe so, maybe not, maybe we are about to find out
