We signed Erik Harris
If we can't run we'll be screwed because we don't want Purdy on 3rd & long against that D-line

So I was watching the highlights from the 49ers Eagles game in 2021. Something very interesting there. We did, I believe three, QB sneaks that gave us first downs. We were the team doing the brotherly shove not the other way around. The Eagles introduced the brotherly shove in the 2022 season.

Yes I realize that a QB sneak is performed differently than the brotherly shove, but it isn't that far off from the same thing. It makes me wonder if that game had something to do with the Eagles running their now go to play on 3rd and short yardage.

Interesting stats, but those are *other* teams, and not the eagles. Also, the 49er losses, injuries were a factor in them. Point being, don't let the statistics lull you to think we can blow them out.

My personal impressions from watching the Eagles games goes against what the stats say of the Eagles. They are are a good running team, and that includes the QB, and they are a good pass defensive team. If the 49ers can stop the run, including the QB runs, (easier said than done, of course) 49ers will have the game in hand. I think the eagles pass defense is good. Key to penetrating that pass defense is for our own offense to be able to run the ball and execute the play actions successfully. There won't be a lot of opportunities for those play actions - as the Eagle defense is very smart in sniffing those out. That eagle pass defense (in my opinion) is much better than what the statistics say.

How do you know Purdy doesn't shower.
You could tell in the Cleveland game that he wasn't comfortable being wet.

We'll I guess we have our own fans giving bulletin board material

Deebo talks way too much. Just play and show it on the field. Goodness. No reason for this.
Let's feed Deebo early and often since he seems extra motivated for this game. Then we hit them with CMC out if the backfield, they'll never see it coming 😀
They talk about all the chirpy stuff. But it's like 99.5% Deebo. He's mostly the only one saying anything. I wish he would just be quiet and play. Never give them more motivation than they need.

Personally, I'd hit them with Jordan Mason. He's a bigger back than CMC and more powerful. Nothing against Deebo, but I want that eagle run defense road graded to soften up the pass defense and protect Brock Purdy from being teed off on.

Yep Jimmy G getting a few first downs made the Eagles reinvent a play into a revolutionary play for years to come :-)
