49ERS at EAGLES Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 13

This is already a rivalry. Bury these lucky a*****es.
Go 49ers!
I thought this game was a pickem? Not -3. I saw FanDuel had it at -1 Niners

Not really. Cowboys - Niners is a rivalry. Eagles Niners is not a rivalry...they met twice over last two years.

Let's feed Deebo early and often since he seems extra motivated for this game. Then we hit them with CMC out if the backfield, they'll never see it coming 😀

Personally, I'd hit them with Jordan Mason. He's a bigger back than CMC and more powerful. Nothing against Deebo, but I want that eagle run defense road graded to soften up the pass defense and protect Brock Purdy from being teed off on.

If Mason is in the game CMC is likely on the sideline and we're pretty much telegraphing.
This get flexed or nah?

Fox protected it. I'm sure NBC would have loved to

Statistically yes, you are correct. They are good against the run and bad against the pass. But from my raw eyes and what games I've watched of the Eagles, they are actually very good against the run and even better against the pass - and the reason is because generally they are ahead most of the time and teams are having to pass on them to catch up. Again, that's the impression I have, and it's as you said, quite the opposit statistically.

Agree on Kyle having to be prepared for the refs (including having a spotting system) so that he's not caught flat-footed on any ref challenges. This is one game where Kyle being both HC *and* OC might hurt him in processing any referee challenges.

The rain might be a blessing in that Kyle may be forced to keep it on the ground offensively, which is the Eagles (statistical) weakness, instead of airing it out like last time and getting his QB injured.
Actually they are good against the run and worse against the pass. Hurts throws a lot of Int's and also has a tendency to fumble so we have a good chance of getting some TO's from him. As to Riddick I say run at him and see if we can pull TW to help take him out.
And if Brock is having trouble throwing in the rain maybe he should think about wearing gloves. JMHO, Go Niners!!!

I think Geidi eyes might need glasses. The eagles have been out gained the last 4 games. They are getting turnovers when they need it the most.

Well, good, they have to stop the run. I"m not saying bring Mason instead of CMC, but if 49ers are up two scores on the Eagles (unlikely) you bring out Mason and start road grading the Eagle defense.

I dunno. 10-1 is a pretty important statistic. Maybe they are getting the turnovers when they need it the most because they are causing it when they need it the most. I think this game is going four quarters. 49ers can usually knock teams out in the 3rd QTR and then just pile on the score at that point (example Seattle), but I don't think they can score a knockout on the Eagles. I think this is going to be a twelve round bout.
Look, the Eagles think they're tough chit, especially off of beating us last year. But the fact that they and their fans get so angry and insecure whenever someone points out that they beat us when we had literally no QB is telling. The pressure and the onus to prove something is on them. They have a lot of bravado, but can they prove that they're the "team to beat"?

As for the Niners, we just gotta play our game. We are vibing, no need to prove anything because we know we are THAT TEAM. Let's go baby, Niners win 34-17
