Was gonna wait til tomorrow to drop it but the people have spoken. Here it is!!!

Anyone not giving Brock his credit at this point are just sour that their hot take was wrong and they have chosen to die on that hill. Thanks again, jonny. Great video as always.
Great vid as usual.

Low snap was worrisome all game. Surprised people haven't complained much. Probably because Brock handled them beautifully. Can't do that in Philly.

Nice cutup of the Kinlaw/Warner gap exchange at 13:30. That type of aggressive playcalling will need to take place to shut down good run games, like in PHI this coming week. Not sure how the QB keeper element affects the ability to dial up these types of run stopping calls like slants and gap exchanges. I don't think playing 'straight up' and hoping the 49er DTs hold it down is going to be enough. Chase Young has really solidified run defense at the other edge.

It's still a bit surprising to me that Gipson is usually the safety tasked with man covering TEs instead of the younger safety (Huf, Brown). I hope a team doesn't start to pick on the old timer. But he's been doing a great job keeping up.

Really nice video touching on many different aspects of the game.
Jonny,

I loved the Chase Young trade from the beginning, and he's a great pass rusher and better against the run than advertised, but from my perspective he doesn't appear to contain very well.

Are you seeing the same thing? I feel like the Eagles might try to isolate get Hurts on the edge to Young's side. Worried about it at least.

When I watched WAS/PHI he was outstanding on setting the edge. Contain- sometimes that's an instance of when the edge guys are trying to make a play as the play keeps going. They need to have a plan for how to limit those escape lanes

I remember seeing some highlights of that game but I haven't watched the whole thing. Obviously he's physically capable of being great at containing. I hope Wilks makes that a focus in practice this week.
Another great version of 49ers Playbook, thanks it was fun to watch. I was kind of hoping for a review of the missed Kittle turkey leg throw as there was some argument as to whether he broke the 5 second rule on the 2nd attempt
Thanks again, Jonny.
Nice, I'm gonna check this out later today.

Question for you, Jonny!
You've gotten to scrutinize the film week-by-week. How would you sum up Brock Purdy's growth in the offense from his first game last year, to present? Have things expanded? When he makes mistakes, does the film show that he corrects it? Etc. etc.
Last year after acquiring CMC the offense took off. Would you say acquiring Chase Young has had the same effect on defense? Are we about to witness the defense continue their dominance after this acquisition?

His growth is really seeing the minute details a little better which is speeding up processing. He's throwing with more anticipation and has tightened footwork to the routes.

I think that's a great way to put it. They really needed another edge to unlock the rush. Akin to when the Rams added Von Miller mid-season when they won their super bowl.

They had Donald and an edge, blanking on his name, but really needed another edge to unlock it all..
