SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES - 2023 Season Game 12

Now to get the #1 seed. All you can do is win the remaining games, which is easier said than done. Ravens seem the toughest of the remaining, but who knows with these divisional games.

Eagles have a tough opponent with Dallas, Seahawks maybe not so much.
Let's see.

Looking at that game and the way it started and then turned around, I have to think that the Eagles came out pumped up by all the talk during the week. After that 1st quarter that adrenalin wore off and the Niners talent took over.

This isn't meant to diminish what the Niners did but the Eagles had 3 games in 13 days including a tough OT week before against the Bills. That probably had something to do with how the Niners just looked quicker than the Eagles for the last 3 quarters. You know our fans would have been talking about that if things were reversed and the Niners played that game after 3 games in 13 days. The Eagles D had been on the field a lot during that Bills game and the previous 3 games were against the Cowboys, Chiefs and the Bills. Having to face the Niners after that had to be an advantage for the Niners.

I wouldn't disagree with that take. The eyeball test does appear that we just had so much more gas than they did after the first quarter.
If we meet them in the NFCCG, we'll probably have similar amount of rest, and I'm sure the game might be a little closer.

But I would also push back on that take and point out that schematically, the Eagles linebackers and safeties were absolutely befuddled by our schemes. Sure, we outphysical'd them in a lot of ways, but there were a number of plays where the Eagles just couldn't cover our guys. They were just chasing them around all game.

Maybe they tackle and pursue better in a rematch, but our playmakers have a distinct advantage over their cover guys.

This.

Rooting for DAL and SEA goes against my 49er DNA, but here we are.

Ideally, eagles beat Dallas but lose to the Seahawks and we win out. Muahahah

id love to see the cowboys lose and us still get the one seed.
Lol they must be feeling the heat. Too bad this dude is cooked.

LOL, what about last year when eagles had more QB's? We can play that game all day long. Bottom line is we went our there and kicked a--! Prior to game Reddick said "9ers talk is cheap, line that sh-- up and play", we did just that!
I wonder what Zach Ertz is thinking after this game?

Eagles desperately needed some LBs so Shaq was in the right place at the right time but Ertz might have real choices. Don't know if we want him, but 49ers have to look better than the Eagles at this point.

This, he hasn't been the same dude since the back injury.

Gonna piss the Cowboys off, I know they wanted him. Cowboys fans today are hilarious. They all love the Niners lol. For now.

This.

I think traveling across country, dealing with 3 hour time difference, playing in Philly which is arguably the hardest place to play right now makes the 3 games in 14 days thing a wash. It was a complete wash. We were just the better team.

Having some more rest doesn't make Jalen hold on to the ball less, doesn't make them have less arm tackles out there, doesn't magically make their defense have less gaping holes and leave our guys wide open. Rest had nothing to do with a 23 pt difference. If the final score was 7 or less, sure. We just whooped them
