Hope we can lock up this first seed, means we gotta take down Ravens, not an easy task.

It's always how you lose. Their issues were exposed. Can they be mitigated? Maybe.

It should be concerning however.

Cowboys defense should be concerned as well however. Media is giving them all this credit for their win vs Seattle while glossing over the fact that they allowed a team who had 1 TD in 8 quarters to put up 35.

To be fair to the Eagles, there are few teams in the league that can attack their weaknesses on offense and defense like we can. Not something that, say, the Giants are going to be able to come in and be like "Oh, let's just follow the 49ers' blueprint and we'll get the W."

But also, if I'm an Eagles fan... I'm hoping and praying Eagles win homefield advantage and that somebody... anybody... can knock out the 49ers before the NFCCG. Assuming we follow a similar path to previous years, 49ers will roll into the playoffs with a ton of momentum, ready for playoffs, and be "the team no one wants to play."

Absolutely. Seahawks were making it look easy moving the ball on Dallas until the end.
Looking forward to the Eagles struggling the rest of the year. Niners just exposed their one trick pony offense and below average defense masked by their front 4. Dallas licking their chops for Sunday.

They're likely one game into a three game losing streak.
Man. The "What if's...?" drive me nuts.

"Eagles were dominating, up 6-0 in the first quarter. Would've been a different game if they went up 14-0."

Mmm. Sure, 14-0 definitely would've been daunting. But the 49ers defense is also part of the 49ers. That's not luck. 49ers defense played and stopped the Eagles from putting up touchdowns, instead of putting up field goals. Smh.

Their defense and their crowd were dominating the first quarter. Their offense was moving the ball with a big field but once it shortened in the end zone they didn't have answers. Not sure what you're being driven nuts about, eagles can pine over what if they got TDs.

The offense and Brock still have to make that first 3rd down conversion to get rolling, whether 6pts down or 14pts down. At that point they were just trying to get a 3rd down conversion lol If you think of it like that, it's not daunting for the offense. I'm sure that was their mentality too. One step at a time and string them together. They were only 6 plays in, Kyle still on his script, staying with the game plan.

The team been down 10-14pts down to the Rams that I can remember. They settled down get conversions. Put together a drive. Score. End up winning the game.

The most we've trailed in a game we won this year is 7 points in the 2nd quarter in week 2 against the Rams.
The Eagles didn't play a bad game. There wasn't a turnover. No blown coverages that we know of. They just straight up got mauled. 6 straight consecutive TD drives. And our defense gave up 19pts all game.

My point was the characters of this team even in previous year weren't going to let them wilt being down 14pts early. Especially with this defense. People are gauging the game like it's an MO of a bad team, where 14pts down is a mountain. Both teams are top of the NFL . If the Eagles were down 14pts at the start there's no intelligent fans would think that's a mountain for them to come out of. They're capable of coming back next 3qtrs

What I'm getting at is that media, fans neglect to recognize that defense is part of the equation in games. It was 6-0 Eagles and not 14-0 Eagles because we have a good defense. Talking heads always making it about the offense and the QB. (Which is par for the course in this offensive-driven era).

Similarly, the whole narrative about Shanahan teams not being able to play from behind. It is what it is, but those stats totally makes sense when you think about it. We've allocated a lot of our resources to building an elite defense, and a large part of our offense is predicated to a strong running game, paired with play action and motion. If a team gets ahead, of us, first and foremost, that's a big L on the defense. If opponents were to get out to a large enough lead, where we have to pass the ball, we can't run the ball and lose out on the play action things that make us so dangerous.

But yeah, whenever a media analyst says "They're the best team, but I haven't seem Brock Purdy get tested. How will they respond if they're down 14-0 and have to play from behind?"... Yeah, it's a question. But like... if we go down 0-14 early on. Something really went wrong with the defense, which is a strength of our team. To put it another way, it's like saying "Who are the Chiefs if Mahomes throws two pick-sixes at the beginning of the game?"
Philly fans really complaining about the schedule is why the team loss lol.

They should be complaining about how their QB had all day in the pocket but could only muster up 19 points.
