Never like having to quickly prepare for a backup. Strange things happen, but I trust our defense enough to not make Lock look like Brady.

I'm not a Seahawks fan (thank God) but didn't they get Lock in the trade with the idea for him to become the starter???

Fair but this team is a SB contender playing at home in December against a divisional rival with a chance to pretty much lock up the division, atleast with respect to the Seacocks. Plenty of motivation.

This is a good point. I've seen Lock look very good. I've also seen him look very bad. But if he knows he's getting a start against the 49ers in a game that a lot of NFL GM's will probably watch, Lock will be absolutely motivated to perform at his best. It's his shot to show that he can be a legit backup somewhere in the NFL, provided he does well in a starting role.

I don't think the 49ers will take this game lightly. There are enough starters around to remember how the Seahawks get up for games like these. We will get Petey Carroll's best performance.

Carroll is a good coach, like it or not. This is not a ho hum week 4 game. Lock has been a back up at best for awhile. There is no reason the Niners cant stomp Lock. If my memory is correct he is a pocket passer for the most part....

PJ Walker was terrible against us, wouldn't exactly claim he's the reason cleveland beat us
