10 year, 700 million.
If Baseball can do it, then football should be able to do it.

With the CBA I read he can't be extended early. At some point we can talk and come to terms but there's an absolute early day that's allowed.
At this trajectory he's keeping the current team of stars intact. Look what happened to the Chiefs, Chargers, and now Eagles once they had to offer $50M+ annual contracts to their franchise QBs.

I wish they could pay this kid now. He should command at the minimum 6 years $250 million or whatever Deshaun Watson got.

Over the Cap
With the Niners current star contracts, and more to come this off season, Aiyuk, Young, etc, how long can the Niners get away with paying a legit MVP candidate Mr Irrelevant money?
Acknowledge the cap projects to go up again. What's the "pay the man" strategy?
Structure it in a similar way to Jalen Hurts
Hurts ext. is as follows:
Year 1, 2023, 6m cap
2: 13.56m cap
3. 21.8m cap
4. 31.8m cap
5. 41.8m cap
6. 47.8m cap
Year 7 is where it's interesting because it's the totality of 3 void years of cap pro-rated bonus in a balloon cost at 97m, but they can sign a new 5 year deal and spread that cap out again. But that's not until 2030 and there's no telling how high the salary cap will be, at that point.
If the 9ers did this with Purdy, they'd be quite low on the QB salary cap hit until 2032.....at which point I'd think we have an almost entirely new team so there's no telling.

The CBA would allow, at earliest, year 3.
