I think we could still win the Super Bowl without CMC and we had to rely on Mason and Elijah Mitchell(if he stays healthy). Now it will be MUCH MORE Difficult, but I think it is still possible. Our defense would have to step up.

Its just how the game is played today. Without a competent QB, you have no chance.

This is why you don't talk like this. It's splitting votes. They are desperately trying to find ways to not give it to him. Saying things like Lamar.... Even CMC and split votes.

It's Purdy guys. Lamar is absolutely not having the year Purdy is. A RB won't get it but it can split votes and take it away from the deserving guy.

should be QB of the year, and MVP is position players only - 2 separate awards

MVP - should be QB and it should be Purdy this year. No way Lamar is having as good of a season. Look at the numbers.

I think you might be surprised. We went to a SB with Jimmy. CMC has changed everything. I LOVE Brock but I do think 90% have it wrong who the MVP should go to.

Nothing wrong with that but I have watched these recorded games this season so many times each. Almost always. CMC is a magician. I think there are a lot of years for Brock to get this but probably much harder for CMC to repeat year after year his performance. His level will surely drop before Brock and I think he should get it now. He deserves it. I'm afraid we are so good now and have incredible players across the board that is becoming easy for some to dismiss each players contribution. QB play has been incredible but the same can be said about many positions including CMC. When CMC is gone some day we are really going to see and appreciate what a frigging beast he is. Enjoy it now..

The defense was a powerhouse that year. Probably better than this one. They barely let Jimmy throw at all in the playoffs. Brock is hugely important to this team. This team gets bounced in the 1st round without Purdy and is not fighting for the #1 seed. He's still underrated by a lot for some here and in the media. He's really a great QB. The processing, timing, reading the field and throwing accuracy is phenomenal.

Who actually had the bigger impact? I believe it's Purdy. It's really just the nature of the position. QB is the most impactful spot on the field. We were pretty good in the handful of games Himmy played with CMC. We've been an all time great machine since Purdy took over.

I agree we have more talent now, the ppg is pretty close. 29.9 in our last SB season and 30.4 now
