The Dallas game gave the answer.
If you want to go outside the box and be cute, give the trophy to Trent Williams but the reality is that if the MVP this year is a 49ers player, it's Brock Purdy.
I don't know why inside the team they keep pushing the CMC campaign. I know he's their teammate but Purdy is too.
It's Purdy the MVP, I mean, just look at the games against Dallas and Philly.
And in the three games losing streak, CMC wasn't really good. We talk about Purdy's turnovers but that fumble against the Vikings changed the momentum of the game.
It sucks, from a historical point of view. CMC is the first RB to have a legit shot at this award in a decade. Purdy would be the first "Mr Irrelevent" to ever do it. For CMC it might help the entire position, that has been constantly getting de-valued for years. I am sure it would also mean the world to him, after all the flak he took for being "injury prone". I know during the season all that matters is the Super Bowl. But when that offseason hits, don't doubt these things matter a lot to the players. I do think Purdy as MVP and CMC as offensive player of the year would be fitting, though.

I'll add, all these people talking about how Purdy benefits so much from his skill position's YAC yards - must not understand football at all. Do those yards help to inflate Purdy's totals? Absolutely. BUT does Purdy's placement of the ball help put those skill players in position to get YAC yards? Absolutely! Look around the league, watch other games. Man the last few weeks alone, I have seen so many QB's getting balls to their receivers in bad spots - and getting them absolutely blown up. Some of these hits on defenseless receiver penalties should be thrown on the QB - not the defense!
First and fifth in MVP voting odds. And depending on how the Baltimore game goes, either one or both could have big games. I'm still thinking a shared MVP is possible if they end up as 1a and 1b.

Don't think we'd win without either.

I've already said Purdy should be MVP and CMC should be OPOY but I don't think there is another player in the league that can do what CMC is doing. Can't say the same for Purdy.

No way others can do what Purdy is doing. He's incredible. Perfect for what we do.

Both deserve it but yea - if we had Mahomes or healthy Burrows - we'd be undefeated right now. There is no doubt about that in my mind. There is no RB in the league that we could replace CMC with and say for sure we'd have a better record.

Regardless, I care about SB MVP and as long as one of our players get that - I'm good with that.
CMC deserves it. He has played better.

I prefer Dave Gahan's version

B/c they know CMC is the best player on team

He's actually not though. He's not the best player relative to his position, nor is he the most valuable player because of his position.

I hate to argue against him because he's a fantastic player. I'm also not quite sure how real the claim is that his candidacy is being pushed internally here.

I told you mofos who gives a f**king s**t who gets the MVP. That is not anyone's goal. And yes, this thread
They probably will give it to Lamar and maybe he borderline deserves it. But I don't think it's a great year for him.

I think, I am honest my answer is CMC because he is very deserving for MVP. I am voting him. He is doing good job for awesome games..I hope he is staying healthy and must avoid an injury!
