49ERS vs RAVENS Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Week 16

Harbaugh is very good. He will have his guys ready. We also tooted Mike Tomlin's horn before week 1 and we dismantled Pittsburgh. The Ravens and Harbaugh are a different beast though. I think we win by 7 and cover that spread

Rams are 18th in defensive rank, and 8th in offensive rank (so says the stats). 49ers are 2nd in offense (Miami is first) and defensively 49ers are 9th in defense (15th against the pass and 3rd against the run). Ravens *barely* won against the Rams.

Which is why I say if we have the opportunity to eliminate the Rams from the playoffs we should
Rams are on fire right now, with kupp back, the last game is gonna be tough so let's win this, with that said I don't think any team has the horses to beat the niners , we have the best roster in football, teams have to count on turnovers or our own mistakes to beat us

Product of a weak schedule, browns are easily their most impressive win of that "hot streak" and even they're a bit bi-polar

You're right Tomlin is a very well regarded coach of his own...but the obvious difference in the comparison is Lamar Jackson vs Kenny Pickett lol

The only team that has the horses to beat the niners...are the niners.

It's cliche but we're not losing any game if the team is healthy and we don't shoot ourselves in the foot with mistakes.

We play a clean game and we win. It's as simple as that. Ravens are about as close to our roster as you get in the NFL so I'll be surprised if this one will be an easy win but I'd love to be wrong.

Just win and stay healthy!
Last time we played them back in 2019 (Lamar's MVP year) we lost 20-17. I think we all knew heading into that game that we were probably going to lose, especially since it was an away game and once Lamar started having his way with us, and we were 5.5 dogs. Lamar gashed us for 100 yds rushing and a td. Ingram added 60 yds. We did the same to them with Mostert's 146 yds rushing. Passing was limited on both sides. 265 passing yards total between the teams. Three years later some familiar faces on both sides and a lot of new faces obviously. I think Aiyuk has a big game against that big but not as quick secondary. We need to shut these songbirds down. They're already talking a lot because they feel they're being disrespected by the spread, lol.

49ers are 1-5 vs Balltimore since 2000(including the SB). Time to start a new trend.

Word. We turned a new leaf with the s**t birds up in Seattle, so no reason we can't do the same with these s**t birds.
I love the rubbish coming from Baltimore about being "disrespected" because a bunch of gamblers and bookies clear their market at whatever point spread they clear it. Philadelphia also used the same silly narrative before our game: oh-em-gee, people risking their money underprice our team vs another team! What disrespect!.

I get it that gambling is legal now. I don't like how it's everywhere, but people are free to throw their money away in whatever mode it suits them as long as it doesn't bother others. Regardless, what does this have to do with the actual sporting contest? The same holds for all the MVP/SB winner/whatever odds. It's just a market. It doesn't disrespect you any more than the dollar weakening against the yen disrespects your country.

To add to the above, we were coming in after a brutal couple of games vs NO (that wild shootout - probably JG's best game for us) and GB (a much easier one, but still) and the weather was pretty awful. We were also carrying quite a few injuries - I remember the OL in particular was threadbare. It was the one regular season loss that year that didn't bother me compared e.g. with the home loss to Seattle on that missed FG. With already 2 wins from that stretch already in the bag, it felt like playing with house money anyway.

By comparison I'm quietly confident this year. If both teams perform at their potential with the injuries they're both currently carrying, we should have a small but real edge.

Turnovers will decide this, and who knows where those chips fall? By far the biggest thing here is to avoid injuries.

Seahawks are a shell of their former self, though.
The Ravens are still one of the best and most consistent teams In the league under Harbaugh.

Aslong as the defense doesn't play sloppy like they did last game against the Cards with all the missed tackles, I think we'll win.

I'm expecting a close one. 23-20 9ers win
Marlon Humphrey talking trash saying he don't respect the niners

Just a reminder I know Lamar Jackson is the perfect QB according to the experts. But he sucked vs the Steelers and vs the Browns!!! But they'll only let the world know about Brock's 3 game losing streak! Even with some of his wins his stats are mediocre at best.
I had a dream that the game was played at a nearby (to me) high school due to complications with the home venue. The local cable access channel was tasked with broadcasting the game using their one really old camera.

Brock threw 2 pick sixes and we gave up 2 more field goals which brought the score to 20-3 with 4 minutes to go in the first quarter.

I couldn't take it any more so I decided to wake up. Good news is that the outcomes of my bad 9er game dreams never come true.
