No Doubt About It: (Would have a great chance to get in if they retired today)
- Trent Williams - The most dominant OT of his era. Most likely first ballot.
- George Kittle - He is already a top 20 all time receiving TE and he is considered one of the best blocking TEs of his era. He also has a HOF personality which definitely counts for something with the voters.
On Their Way:
- Nick Bosa - Accolades go a long way to make a HOFs resume and DPOY is huge. He'll need to keep producing sacks and impacting the game for a while before he is a sure fire inductee, but he is on that trajectory.
- Deebo Samuel - There is a ridiculously high standard for WRs getting into the HOF thanks to the absurd numbers that have been put up in the last 30 years, but Deebo makes his case for two reasosn: He is unique and he is dominant. He just set the the all time record for most rushing TDs by a WR and he already has almost 1K rushing yards for his career. We have seen RBs who are receiving threats, but Deebo is the first true WR who is a rushing threat. Voters like game changers. He is also in the middle of having a dominant prime. He has been the most dangerous weapon on a consistently good team for the last 4 years. If he can add a SB ring or two? He has a real case.
- Christian McCaffery - Getting traded he was the best thing that ever happened to his career. Injuries will be the biggest hurdle for him to overcome, but he already has over 10K all purpose yards and is having as a dominant a season as any RB can have.
- Fred Warner - The positions that have the highest standards for HOFs have to be WR and LB. There have been so many legendary LBs who have dominated this game that it can be very difficult to separate yourself. Fred's biggest advantage is that he fills up the whole stat sheet. He gets sacks, INTs, FF, PBUs, and tackles. The key to his HOF case will be longevity. He is the captain of a strong defense on one of the top teams in the league for the last 4 years. If he can continue to lead a strong unit into the playoffs for the next 5-6 years while continuing to fill up the stat sheet, he will have a strong case.
Definite Potential:
- Brock Purdy - He is already in the MVP conversation and people want to cast the movie about him. Everything is ahead of him, but we know that QBs are judged by Super Bowl wins and stats. Longevity and championships will determine his future.
- Talanoa Hufanga - The fact that he has already had an All-Pro season puts him on this list. He has a knack for making big plays and has gotten better quickly in his young career. High ceiling if he keeps progressing. Low floor if allows himself to consistently get beat while looking for he big play. Time will tell.
- Dre Greenlaw - He is Robin to Warner's Batman; Pippen to his Jordan; Bowman to his Willis. Greenlaw has quickly become the enforcer on this defense. He does have some inconsistencies with his tackling, but when he is on, the other team is flinching. He is farther away than Warner, but the two of them could have a decade of dominance together and help each other punch their tickets to Canton.
- Brandon Aiyuk - As I mentioned, the WR numbers are gaudy, so making his case for the HOF would take another decade+ of the numbers he is currently putting up. It could happen, but it is a loooooong road.
Did I miss anyone?
