Nobody on the roster concerns me in games like these. It's always Shanahan. Easily flustered and flummoxed, has never won a game down by a single score in 38 games.

Shockingly alarming statistic. He routinely gets unraveled at the slightest moments of adversity or confusion. He's a coaching autistic who needs a head coach. You can feel the energy and flailing confidence permeate through the whole team. He's a loser in key moments and needs someone to override.

this is the best roster I've seen since the 94 Niners. They should be beating everyone. I have no confidence he won't f**k this up because he's never proven otherwise.

I'm certain he probably will. You should be able to win 1 - 2 of those by just getting lucky.

Ughh these hit the nail on the head...

Its bad when you feel desperate like you can't stop a QB who puts up 220 yards 2 tds and 50 rushing yards a game. Lamar is so pedestrian and harbaugh just covers it up completely.

I knew this could happen though. I just hope shanahan can't get out coached in the SB as well. Losing to teams with clearly less talent across the board is annoying. Especially when you see that we outgained them on offense.

Flukey turnovers are setup due to poor game management...
Considering he got out coached in his previous Super Bowl trip so history isn't in his favor.
Don't teams that are number 1 in the nfl loses in the superbowl?
I rather be number 2 if that's the case

Keep fooling yourself bud! No one would have faulted a loss here. But this was a blowout and the coaching was was exposed.

That Ravens defense is basically built to stop the 49ers with how crazy strong they are up the middle on all levels.

You'd think an offensive genius could game plan around that

He sorta did by dialing up the passing plays.

I'd imagine the thought process was the Ravens' D was going to focus on stuffing the run so pass the ball to back them off than once you have them on their heels a bit hit them with the run and once that works you follow it up with play action passes.

The fanbase can speak out of its mouth at times. We want to say Purdy is elite and bring up all these crazy numbers and proclaim we've got the most talented group of skill players in the league but at the same time we armchair it when it doesn't work out and say we should've ran the ball more.

That's not to defend Shanahan and say his playcalling is perfect but if we're this talented on offense we shouldn't really have a problem on how much Shanahan deploys the pass or run.

CMC was peeling off like 7 YPC

Purdy is elite. He made mistakes no doubt but Shanahan got outcoached. That's the difference. He runs cmc into the ground when he doesn't need to and when we do need to pound the ball, he doesn't call dick on the ground.

also remember Jordan mason? He refuses to play this dude even though he's proven himself time and time again.

Shanahan can script and call some plays but that's all he is; and it's pretty goddamn easy when you have all pros all over your offense. He's a phony. He needs a HC

Purdy is not anywhere near elite. In big, rough and tumble games he is a liability.

Browns, Vikings, Ravens, all won by clogging the middle and daring Purdy to throw elsewhere or Kyle to beat them by something other than the pass. Both refused to change and we lost each of those games.

It's a copy cat league and we will see that strategy again, from talented teams. The Rams being the first of them and then probably Detroit. Purdy and Kyle better figure it out or we don't even see another NFC championship let alone the SB.

You'd have to be insane to not see Purdy as a huge upgrade over Jimmy G in Shanny's offense

Purdy is on historic levels. And a lot of it is off script or because of his reads within everything. He's had one terrible game in his young career: this is it. The eagles and cardinals hounded him and he made them pay.

I believe more in him and the rest of the offense than Shanahan.
Not the end of the world and we still hold the #1 seed. Win the next 2 games and get ready for the playoffs. I believe this type of loss was needed to get everyone on the same page. They got embarrassed and will be looking to kill going forward. We need that energy in the playoffs.
Fred Warner press conference

this team will be alright.

Exactly! All QBs have horrible games now and then. All of them. Brock is not a robot. He had some unfortunate picks. Ravens treated our OL like rag dolls. Everyone got lit up tonight not just Brock. So singling out Brock is idiotic.
