SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs BALTIMORE RAVENS - 2023 Season Game 15

Agreed. I would add that the 49ers defense was doing a good job of holding Baltimore in the first half despite Brock's awful game. At some point the wheels came off the bus and what I saw was the defense giving up in the 3rd. After the Purdy int to start the 3rd quarter the defense quit. Can't blame them.

im curious what the tape shows because this is the first time Brock has looked lost out there. I don't know why they didn't run the ball more, use they end arounds, etc.
Because Shannahans agenda was to feature Brock in a effort to secure the MVP trophy and it backfired.

No, he was jumping for joy not to have to dink and dunk his way to victory via the Jimmy G dunk machine. I think he loves to have a QB that runs the offense the way he has always wanted to run the offense. This time it didn't work out. Most of the time it has.

I love the aggressive nature now and will take that and this outcome on occasion over what it was the past years which was a boring ass offense that had to run and defense its way to victory. Now we have those same two elements plus a real QB thrown in. Despite yesterday, we are still one of the best offenses out there.

realize we got a holding call on a key 3rd down I believe and the guy held is Willie Snead. He maybe catches a pass every season, it was away from the play,
refs didn't cost us one thing last night, I guarantee if a 49er made a play like that and we got a pick, none of you is asking for a foul,

let's take the bias out of it

All I want is for the refs to call the game with consistency is all. Do I blame the refs for losing? No. We lost because we turned the ball over 5 times.

I don't think the refs have any agenda this team over that, and I walked away from last night not even thinking about the refs. If anything, a ref legit tripped Lamar in the endzone and we got 2 pts and the ball out of it. That was kinda hilarious and it all went downhill..

Did I say they had an agenda? I

on consistency, that can be read in only 2 ways imo. Either they aren't consistent cuz of human error, or cuz more nefarious reasons. I wasn't meaning to call you out. I do see on here commonly, that the NFL is rigged, or the NFL is biased. That appears to be a common fan opinion. So I was speaking more to that, not you specifically. NFL will never be 100 percent consistent, unless you want to all-22 review every play for violations and have it sent to NY to weigh in. Even then, you can have instant replay reviews where the 'rules expert' says one way, and the on field review team goes another way.

there's some subjectivity, in what a foul is or isn't. I don't feel that was a foul, you can contact other guys if you are not impeding and playing the ball (incidental contact)

Yes. Intentional or unintentional inconsistency. I never stated which. You are the one who keeps throwing out trigger words. I am not just refering to this game when it comes to officiating. Its league wide and the NFL needs to do something about it. Also, that call on Lamar in the endzone last night was horrendous. They should have just let that penalty go since the ref accidentally interfered with the play.

Let me say it again. We lost this game because we turned it over 5 times. The ravens defense read our plays like they were the ones running them. We were very predictable. Brock's first INT he was slow to get to his 3rd read and threw it late. The others were great plays by the defense and yes, Brock was pressing to make plays when he should have just protected the ball. Hopefully the coaches get into his head this week. We can't have that s**t in the playoffs.

The defense was playing really well until they felt like they needed to make a play to stay in the game. That's when the damn broke. The fact that we were -5 in turnover differential and only lost by 2 scores is a demonstration of the talent on this team. We out gained them by 86 yards and converted 3rd down at a higher rate. Most of their scoring came off short starting field position. I have no doubt we will bounce back and make a deep run in the playoffs. I would love nothing more than to face this ravens team in the SB.

Agree to disagree last night called for a balanced attack establishing the running game and not exposing your beat up interior Dline.

A voice of reason, so nice to see. We will learn from this, adjust, and prevail. Btw, in my opinion there's a good chance the dolphins beat the ravens this week and again in the playoffs. People sleeping on the fins are making a huge mistake.

how come our fans dont make meltdown and rage videos like cowboy fans?
COACHING sucks... still the main problem..

I've seen his videos on Instagram and YouTube . A lot of attempted humor and does crip walks all over Levi's whenever the 49ers are winning, even during the middle of games. Pretty obnoxious

I will say he is the best player in the NFL today.

He turned the Niners into his little b***hes. It was so easy.

And he 1-3 in the playoffs 😂 so glad you won your Super Bowl.

Outside of that back breaking drive to end the half. Lamar did nothing special. Turnovers killed the 49ers

you don't let a penalty go. Refs are part of the playing field essentially, if you run into one as a receiver and the ball goes the other way, that's the breaks more or less. Once he threw it to no one in his own endzone, that's a safety.

What exactly should the NFL do about penalties, which you suggest, but you never suggest what the league should do. Easy to say NFL should improve, let's hear the specifics. I think most NFL games are called pretty darn well. I don't think you can robo ump the NFL, like you can in MLB. MLB has more objectivity to what a strike zone is. NFL is more subjective, what is allowed contact, and what isn't. The lines are a lil more subjective, in my opinion. Only thing I can think of is having the game instant replay reviewed for penalties, but that comes at a cost of slowing down the game, also fairness, what penalties do you review, why this penality vs that.. In a certain sense, I think the league already does this, as NY seems to chime in and get the game crew to overturn things, or pick up flags, if the in game officials are clearly in the wrong. I think the overarching goal is get the game officiated correct, as much as you can, with minimal slowdown.

Had a very Rusdell Wilson like game. Scrambled to buy time and hit the backyard plays.

We had a lot of momentum killers that happened on both side of the ball. It won't be like this if we meet again!
