There's no way Lamar is the MVP

Stats-wise, no way in hell. This year would be a good year to give it to a skill position player not QB.

I've been saying it for a while, MVP is broken, it's perverse, that you have all these guys in the trenches battling, and NFL MVP couldn't care less. It's a QB of the year award, and you filter the top teams, you see who has the best stats, and factor some head to head games, and viola. It's complete crap. So TW can be our most valuable player, quite clearly, and NFL MVP doesn't give a bleep. A kicker can win the honor, and did, yet Jerry Rice or Trent Williams, can get bent, as far as NFL MVP is concerned. So it's a joke, clown award.

Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald didn't have their linebackers mug as much as they usually do and brought pressure from the edges. The Ravens didn't want to make it easy for the 49ers to gash them in the middle of the field with hot throws. On the third play of the game, they had linebacker Roquan Smith mug the line and blitz and they got burned for a 58-yard pass to George Kittle. After that play, MacDonald seemed to adjust and went away from their usual style of play.

Stephens described Purdy as a "spot thrower" and said that they just needed to be in the spots that he likes to throw to based on film. I believe he means that Purdy is an anticipation thrower and he's going to throw with anticipation into windows that he believes will open based on the coverage. Though Macdonald deserves a lot of credit for his play calling, he had the Ravens prepared to capitalize on Purdy's tendencies.

I'm sure Kyle will adjust the offensive scheme and receivers routes to counter opposing defenses sitting on Purdy's throwing spots.
Lamar probally won't even have 30 total TD's this season. How do you give an MVP to him? He has 19 TD passes in 15 games. To put it in perspective, Lamar a QB has only 3 more total TD's than CMC.

I remember when Elway had like 20 TDs, and Rice had 23 in 12 games. So Rice had a record that would stand decades, in a strike year, and mediocre stats Elway comes along and wins. It's a clown award, we should protest it. The fix, is have a QB of the year award, and a MVP for real non-QBs. So Lamar can get one, and CMC the other. Not fair to put guys who battle every game like CMC, up against quarterbacks.

This. So pathetic
So will winning over the 49ers curse continue? Ravens won, so will Lamar get injured?

Yup he will. He's been injured last three seasons. It is inevitable but may not happen until playoffs.
damn....we really gonna project injuries on other QBs now??

Kyle is gonna f**** the Ravens so hard in the Super Bowl, and will finally show all the doubters who the king HC is.

Thanks for the TAPE MacDonald.

Season will be effectively over when we lose to the Rams as Stafford throws for 400 and 4tds.

We won't have home field,.will have to go to Philly or Detroit and that will be the end.

Hopefully when that happens mgmt wakes up and does something about Kyle, this horrible D, and get serious about a top flight QB.

Bookmarking this post. As soon as one of these scenarios doesnt happen I'll be posting a thread calling you out on it.

Not posting a thread, but I am quoting this to LOL at your panic, as promised.

🤣 🤣 🤣

this fanbase is just ridiculous
You know what this game reminded me of in my personal life? One year at work I participated in a chili cook off. I thought my chili was so tight. The best in the world. I spent hours the night before preparing it and let the ingredients simmer overnight and fall in love with each other. The next day I showed up with a big smile on my face ready to win this thing. Guess what happened? I didn't get a single vote. I placed 18/18 total people that participated. So you know what I did? I took what I learned after this heartbreaking experience. I went back to the drawing board and the following year I placed 19th out of 24 people this time.

That's what I see happening to the Niners if we see the Ravens in the Superbowl. They're my chili. I see a whole new game plan and improvement coming.

I was expecting like, you know, top 10 at least.
The Ravens should be favored to win the Superbowl, yet the 49ers are still the betting favorites.

Assuming they meet again in the Superbowl. What does this betting line do? Just like it did on Monday Night. Fuel the Ravens, and tilt the game toward their favor.

The Ravens bullied, spanked, and embarrassed the 49ers on Monday night.

I want nothing more than a Superbowl win this season, no matter who we play. But if it's against the Ravens, it's frosting on the cake.
