Happy Holidays to those of you who celebrate the Christmas holiday. My family enjoyed the day as it was full of joy--the kid made out like a bandit. I suspect for many of you it was much the same. For those of you who were not as fortunate, I feel your pain as I have been there. My hope of hopes is that if you are going through tough times, you just keep going. It will get better.

Meanwhile, there was a football game at the polo grounds of Levi Stadium. Where our beloved San Francisco 49ers, by way of Santa Clara, suffered a colossal ass beating tonight on national television and the interwebs. For the next week the pundits will laud the Ravens, doubt Brock Purdy, and anoint one of the other front runners, likely Lamar Jackson, as the odds on favorite to win the MVP.

Good. Because if we play this way the next couple of weeks, let alone in the playoffs, we are f**ked. If Brock Purdy continues to have games where he tries his best to be Brett Favre as opposed to say Kurt Warner, he does not deserve to be MVP, and while I hate to say it, he hurts his chances to be our longterm quarterback. If Coach Shanny can never help call a comeback (this means Brock has to carry it out) late in the game, say the fourth quarter, he will be remembered as the most gifted, but also unreliable 49er head coach in recent memory.

Sure, we have excuses. O-line is not great. Secondary has its moments of derp. We could have used AA in the middle. Trent was out. Better to lose now than latter (I hear you. But losing is still f**king losing). How could anyone live up to Walsh, Montana, and Young? My dog ate my homework. I had a headache. I left the oven on. I ran out of money. BLAH, BLAH, BLAHTITY f**kING BLAH. f**k that noise. Own it. We got our ass beat.

Don't get me wrong. No team, no championship level team is perfect. They all strive for it, but they are not perfect. I don't have to be an X and O guru to tell you that s**t. Either we are good enough or we are not. Right now, tonight, we were not good enough. The Ravens deserve every kudos coming to them. They are living their story.

The good news is that as with life, the Niners get another chance next week to get back on the right track. You see, the 2023-24 Niners are still writing their story. Funny thing about great stories, you may envision the end and how you got there, but the story has a way of taking on a life of its own. My guess is some Niners quietly were hoping to dominate their way all the way to the end. The reality though, and the veterans of the team should know this, is that it is going to be dog fight for this team and organization. A real gut-wrenching game is coming that will require that they come from behind and win. Tonight, they were not good enough to do it.

If they hope to get back to the Super Bowl and finish the job, they will have to be better. I want to believe they can, but this story is not up to me or you. It is up to the San Francisco 49ers who are playing against past disappoints, while carrying the weighty bag of tradition.

Let's see if they can do it. The next chapter is next week in the nation's capital.

Until then, Happy Holidays, you filthy animals.

Kaepernick curse has yet to be broken.
Man.."he will be remembered as the most gifted, but also unreliable 49er head coach in recent memory." This kinda hit hard because it very much might be true. But if that unreliable, is he truly that gifted? He sure seems gifted, he sure seems like a fking genius at times, the guy is smart af. He just is. But things get the best of him and it sucks when that happens.
And sometimes I can't figure out why it happens.

I didn't watch the 4th quarter. When I heard Trent was out, that was the dagger. There was no coming back. And I just didn't wanna watch anymore of the hot mess I was witnessing. I really debated not watching this game cause I know if we lost-against the Ravens, it would be kinda be extra s**tty on Christmas and didn't wanna feel cranky. Lol. But this team kept impressing week after week. BP has been magic, the tape doesn't lie. We have been a top tier team with an unbelievable qb, smashing record after record. It's been awesome to watch and some of the best football I have seen, reminding me of the days where I would watch Joe and Jerry light up the screen and every pair of eyes watching them.

Today, I have no idea what the hell team I was watching. What the hell was that? It was a complete unraveling of the best team in the NFL. It was a stinger, sometimes I question why I watch football lol. Why do I? Because these fking men named Bill Walsh and Joe Montana sucked me into it in the 80s and how do you not watch football then? How do you, not fall in love with football? And some of us ol' timer fans have been really hoping to see something like that again and well..this has been something very close to the old days.

I am really not sure what to think of all this. We could have just had an off day and that is it..I haven't questioned BP since he took over for Jimmy and at the moment, I still don't. He is wicked talented. I don't question him as our long term qb because they had an off day. And I hope that is all it was. Lol I am still trying to process what the hell happened haha. This was honestly, a s**t show haha.

Today, this doesn't look like a SB winning team, it just doesn't. I mean, that can change, today it felt like a hard lesson..we honestly got taken to the wood shed lol. Which can build character and strengthen..or can be the beginning of the end for the year.

Who knows what will happen. This really sucked lol and injuries on top of it. I am still wrapping my head around it. Lol. Of course, no season is perfect and there will be off games. Sometimes way off. And we went against a damn good team. But s**t, I was not expecting that haha. But who was?

We're not winning the SB. We will in all likelihood lose to the Rams in week 18, securing the number 2 seed. That means our road to the SB goes like this:

Sea/LA (WC)
Detroit (Div)
Philly/Dallas (NFCC)

No way we get through that gauntlet with our oft injured roster not having a BYE week to rest.

On to next season for another "almost" moment

Then do everyone a favor and log off.
Lambs are getting hot at the right time will probably win Week 18 N if the Niners eventually face them could be bounced once again by their rivals. 🥴
Blow it all up and move to San Diego….they have true fans down there. Bay Area will be Seahawk territory!!!
Keep the change.
