SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS at WASHINGTON COMMANDERS - 2023 Season Game 16

Seeing how good the Ravens look takes a bit of the satisfaction out of getting the #1 seed. The NFC playoffs are just about seeing which team will earn the right to get blown out in the Super Bowl.

Are you always this miserable?

No worries my man.

This can't be a real post. Grown ass men in multiple threads crying about the Ravens after we've locked up the #1 seed. Took a 5 turnover differential advantage for them to win by 14. RELAX.

Yea. Wtf would you bring up the ravens in this thread? I am sure they have a fan forum if Ring wants to join them.

Some of you were literally calling for Shanahan and Wilks to be fired in this thread two hours ago.

lol, takes a josecortez post and extrapolates it onto reasonable posters. No one arguing with you in this thread called for our HC to be fired. And you don't get to parade your clown-ass opinion around like it's some objective take and not have posters call you out.

Lol @ logic on a zone thread . Call em out. Tons of posters calling for Shanahan and Wilks jobs in the first half.
I'm all for not even dressing CMC, Kittle and Trent next week. Give the rest of the front line starters as much rest as practical

You have to appreciate it for what it is. A bunch of psycho fans living and dying on every play. Every fanbase is the same and it's hilarious.

We all do it from time to time, but man is it at another level in game threads.

🤣🤣 I vote to give them both 3 more weeks then decide

Again, prove I said anything about firing anyone. Otherwise, stop making up lies about me.

Yes. Pull my receipt please. I'm begging you guys.
Biggest issue right now is who do we play against the Rams? We already know that Kyle does not lie down for the last game when we already have the #1 seed, because then, it takes some of the mustard off the D as well as the O. And Rams need a W so they will bring their best game. You can bet the farm that kyle is not letting Rams run roughshod over us just because we have #1 locked up.

So who do we sit and who do we play? Since we have some thing like 12-15 pro bowlers or at least those who have played like pro bowlers, which included #71, #85, 11, 13, 23 15 , 19, #7 , Freddie, Dre, Nick, Chase , gravedigger, Arik, another OL, and another DL plus one more DB.

It woud be nice to rest all those guys. BUT….we can't do that. Just too many studs. So, Using the above list, sit any body with injury, so right off, #71 and #23. Also maybe a half or perhaps 3 qtrs for Brock. Arik should be on the list. Then do a medical check of who is nicked and give them the game off .Point is we still have to come up with a team that can beat the Rams. If we lose, as long as nobody gets hurt, i'm fine wiht that.

I would hate to see a guy playing who if injured, really hurts our chances of winning the SB. So for guys like CMC and big Trent, they could be kept out of next week, then bye week, which runs up til game 3 weeks from now. That is a good long rest for anything except high ankle or actual ligament or cartilage damage. Brock, i would play maybe a Half or less. Just no heroics.

and yes i am glad Brock didn't win the MVP. It would just give him one more thing he has to live up to and I would be fine if he ended up SB MVP. That would end up being just about perfect.

2019 the Ravens were the Super Bowl favorites to end the season, then went 1 & done. A month ago the Chiefs were already being penciled in to win the SB by most because of "tAylOr sWifT". Brock Purdy has more playoff wins than Lamar Jackson who btw has yet to prove he can win at that level. Not worried about the Ravens as long as the 49ers don't turn the ball over 5 times

You can't assume that. We've never had this luxury in the Shanahan era. In each of our playoff runs, we've had something to play for in the final game of the season.

But yeah. I think Shanahan will do what he can to balance rest vs. avoiding rust. He's been in this league too long to see the risks of injury, as well as teams being rusty. I'm confident he'll make good choices.
On another note, did Jason Verret get into the game today?

I don't think he was even active. Pretty sure I saw Ambry Thomas talking to him after the McLaurin TD catch and JV was in street clothes

Bet he gets some reps next week though

Usually I would agree with you on this point... but this group is wired different. I feel they will not be rusty come game time.
