Your level of concern after Christmas meltdown

As others have said, outside of injuries I'm not remotely worried about this roster or team...Kyle Shanahan is the biggest worry as he has yet to prove he won't crumble. And until he does, I have no reason to believe otherwise. This tea is STACKED with all-stars and he still struggles mightily in many areas of game management, play calling, clock management, and managing player health. He never really shows that he'll change...and if he doesn't, I don't expect the outcomes in big games or key moments.
I want the whole team to stay pissed off for about five more games.
Low. It's all just entertainment. The NFL could disappear tomorrow and my life would continue 99.999999999% the same as it is now.

If they win, they win. If they don't, there's always next year. I've learned to just roll with things the last few years. People over invest in sports these days, especially the NFL.

I get what you're saying but calling this game "not meaningful" is understatement of the year. A win gives the 49ers flexibility to lose one of the next two and potentially rest players. It also was a big test to show they can beat a team like Baltimore...especially at home. And if they were going to lose, doing so in such spectacularly awful fashion really can't be discounted. This was never a competitive game and the head coach unraveled like he always does in those situations... and the team followed suit.

Nobody said it was not meaningful. It's less meaningful than other games on the schedule. For example, you make the point that losing the game removed our one game cushion in the race for the 1 seed. That's true, but that condition was going to be present in next week's game as well, and a loss to them would be more damaging as they are in conference. The same was at stake last week against the Cards.

It was a marquee matchup. A super exciting game for football fans in general. But probably one of the lesser meaningful games among the big games we played this season. I also have a hard time buying into we wanted to prove we could beat a team like Baltimore at home, lol. What makes Baltimore especially different in terms of style points in a victory than the 10-1 Eagles on the road, or the 4-1 Cowboys at home? I get the argument that people think they are a better team this season than those two, but they haven't won a damn thing either. Have less success with this core than the Eagles over multiple years and similar results as the Cowboys. Now suddenly they're this unstoppable juggernaut and their coach is the picture of consistent success at the top of the league. Hardly.
Moderate to high. They have the talent almost everywhere to compete and beat any team on any given day but I do worry about this team's mental fortitude sometimes when things go wrong and Kyle is forced to go off script. It seems if they can't get off to a good start and connect on the first punch, things start to unravel quickly when they get punched back first. They lay down, can't get back up and just collapse in every phase (offense, defense, ST). NFCCG showed this and again on Christmas as well. I'm a big believer that the will of a champion is so much about facing and overcoming adversity, the 49ers still haven't shown that. Also, the conference imbalance can't be ignored. I'm confident they'll get through the NFC esp if they get #1 seed but NFC champion isn't the goal, it's Super Bowl or bust for this team and I'd be lying if I said there weren't a few AFC teams in addition to the Ravens that could give this team serious problems.

Concern about the rest of the season and the playoffs? Very little. They will cruise through the NFC, IMO

We've crushed Aaron Rodgers, Stafford, Dak, and Hurts. We beat Burrow in the regular season in OT.

Low.

Baltimore won't make it to the Super Bowl. They always choke in the playoffs.

if we do see them again we just have to avoid stupid plays like throwing back across the field into a tight window on broken plays.

other than that we were gashing them with the run and the pass. When they started sitting on in breaking routes we hit them with out breaking routes. When they keyed in on Deebo and CMC we immediately went to Aiyuk and Kittle.

They were getting gashed for big plays so they needed to create turnovers to win and they did. 5 INTs and they still only won by 2 scores. Take away drives starting on the 9 and the 20 and they lose that game.
Low. However if they make it to the Superbowl (no matter who it is) I expect a close game that could go either way. Our star players will need to show up. Maybe they blow out the Dolphins cuz it just feels like they would.

I feel like the team has another level they can turn it up to yet. Bosa in particular I think learned his lesson last year and ran out of gas going for DPOY. I at least hope so because he is getting paid to be a game changer. If he's ever going to be mentioned along side the greats he better have a 5 or 6 sack post season.

Injuries suck but could be worse. We know that all too well. The bye is a bigger deal now than a few weeks ago when we were healthier. We need Armstead back.

If the Ravens had 5 turnovers and the Niners had 0. We would have won by 40.

Bad game. Good teams move on. Lots of vets on the team and they know what's at stake. I wouldn't be surprised to see them come out sluggish in the first quarter either. Feed CMC. Take what the defense gives. Let Purdy settle back down and let the Commanders beat themselves.
My biggest concern is pass protection and Arik Armstead.

Yeah you should be. He is out coached, over matched and out schemed in all the big games vs the big time coaches. He can win the cream puff games and middle tier games and give you a good record. Which will tease you into believing you have something.

I know you're having an emotional reaction to a national audience game loss, but an out of conference regular season game that doesn't directly impact your playoff outlook isn't exactly a big game. The game against the Seahawks on Thanksgiving was a more meaningful game… against an arguably more successful coach too.

Seahawks games, Dallas game, Eagles game and in hindsight Week 2 against the Rams were all vastly bigger than this game. This game was more of an extremely attractive marquee prime time matchup on paper, but not necessarily meaningful compared to the other games.

Saying this game was never competitive is factually wrong,49ers moved the ball both through the air and on the ground early on while simultaneously holding the Ravens offense in check if not for the self inflicted wounds they were in position to build a nice lead, even with the turnovers this was a16-12 game at halftime.
I am honestly not that concerned.

We moved the ball well in the 1st half and should have been winning by 2 scores but made unforced stupid errors all the way through.

1. Had a great drive after a 3 and out to start the game only to throw an unforced error INT. Should have been up 7-0.
2. When up 2-0 we had a great drive going only to shoot ourselves in the foot and bog down to go up 5-0 when it should have been 9-0.
3. When up 5-3 we had another great driving going only to throw a random tipped ball INT. Could/Should have been 12-3.

They made a few key game changing plays and we didn't. The difference between winning and losing isn't that much. KS talks about that all the time. Despite the 4 TOs we were 1 yard away from having 3 timeouts and the 2 minute warning to get the ball back to score. Instead we got TO #5.

It's fine. We will recover and beat WAS and the Rams. Get 2 weeks off to recover for the playoffs and be at full strength.
High but only about injuries. If we can't secure the one seed AND limp into the playoffs.. That's gonna be a problem.

They beat the bricks off of us. I mean...yeah, we should be concerned. Not panicked. We will see them, again. We will learn from it. My biggest concern is that when we s**t the bed, we really sit it. There is no middle ground.

I came to this same conclusion after the last SB loss and I have to admit, life is much better! lol

But if I had to pick a concern, it's injuries.
