Wonder if there is/was a phone call , between McVay and Kyle , over how to handle the upcoming game, wiht both HCs not wanting any injuries. Never heard of anything like that , but surely they both want to get thru week 18 with no injuries. How would something like that get structured? Would kyle even consider something like that? Ummmm…..nahhh. But one could see how it might come up in conversation, assuming they had one.
We are locked in, but Rams could be 6 or 7, so they have more on the line than we do. Our game plan is how to rest nicked guys for 3 weeks, not just 2.

This game will be interesting specifically for sam darnold as he'll most likely get the lions share of snaps vs a full force rams team so imagine how meaningful these reps will be for him going into the post-season as a backup. Excited to see what kyle got planned for him.

They could agree to take turns kneeling 3 times and punting.

Please don't jinx it...He was good in the commanders game. He does get injured a lot which is why that is a consideration not to play him 🤔

We need to beat the Rams, Green Bay wins so the Rams go to Dallas. That would be lovely

what's lovely about that? Im more concerned with injuries then affecting playoff seeding for other teams.

The game to me is first and foremost about guys who are backups but could see extended roles later next season or might overtake the starter this season, and who need real live reps because either they're new to the team or are rookies/second year players with little live rep experience
Logan Ryan
Joseph-Day
Luter Jr
Womack
Ronnie Bell
[Potentially] Danny Gray
Winters/Graham
Brayden Willis
Verrett ?

Outside of Ryan why would any of these guys be taking over for a starter? Unless there is an injury I would expect these guys to have limited roles

This game could be like a preseason game 2 type of game. Coaches don't care about winning and call vanilla plays - just get out of there with starters healthy and backups gaining experience. Tough for the paying fans.

Luter Jr is a very long shot this year but they might like him better at outside corner than Ambry, maybe as soon as next year
Ronnie Bell/Gray could be WR#3 next year

I would play it like a preseason game in terms of number of starter reps. However, I would still game plan and give the backups a chance to execute a proper game plan.

Sounds like McVay will be resting his starters
