🤔 Rest or Play vs Rams❓- Pregame Thread 2023 Season Wk 18 🐏💥

I am for resting

id even look into forfeiting the game. Injuries are our biggest concern. The team practices hard i have no concern about rust
Looking at the standing the Rams also clinched and i think they are stuck at 6th seed

This may be a backup vs backup game maybe we can just agree on a draw lol

This. Goes our way again.
Is there a Highschool team we can get to play the game?
Here is a quote from Kyle on the subject:

""I think that's one of the biggest mistakes people make just watching it over the years. That's my opinion," Shanahan said Tuesday. "I would understand if you were getting ready for a seven-game series, I don't think football is like that. It's three and a half hours. It's one shot. I've been on a lot of teams where you rest guys and or give guys a few more weeks and those are usually the guys who struggle the most in that first playoff game." - Kyle 2022

Just put Kyle and Lynch on the field.

Guys like CMC, don't even play at all. Warner as well. Huge benefit. But I would give most of the starters a few drives (including Purdy) to just stay locked in and then bleed off to the backups and new guys as the 1st half wraps up.
Rest them. Get a few reps maybe for some but rest who you can.

I'm definitely not worried about rust. This team has been lazer focused all season and we're banged up. Rest is only going to help us

It's a scrimmage. Get key backups PT and play important players a quarter or two max. If anybody gets as much as a hang nail take em out.

According Shanny is 2022, you play unless your hurt or your health is iffy.

3 weeks off is a long time.

They are not

Depends if Green Bay wins out (tonight and next week)

Rams beat us = 6th seed (Detroit)

Rams loss = 7th seed (@ Philly or more likely @ Dallas)
Rest the vested vets for sure. Tough call on the rest the starters. Maybe a quarter
