I truly believe Dallas is the only team that has the firepower to take us out… that said, I don't think they have the scheme and the 9ers are certainly in their head.

that said, every team in the playoffs is a viable threat, games get weird sometimes like the ravens game.

Yep and Dallas has shown they can keep it close against us in the Playoffs.

Eagles just seem like a broken team that is no where near as good as they were last year. Not sure if they are better than the Lions or the Rams at this point.

--- Dallas is a talented team that can snowball their opponents. If we commit early mistakes against them, then they could possibly be a challenge. But largely, I'm not afraid of them.

--- Agreed. Eagles feel broken. Jalen Hurts is incredibly talented, but I feel since we played them, the league has them figured out. IMO, they have a puncher's chance.

--- The Lions could prove feisty, but I think they're still a year away from truly contending.

--- The Rams are the team I don't want to play. They're red hot and playing with a ton of confidence. Stafford + Kupp/Nakua---the Rams can play a quick pass game like they did in the NFCCG two seasons ago, move the ball, and keep it close. If their defense plays the game of their lives and gets opportune stops, the Rams are capable of sneaking a victory. I doubt that they can do this, because that offensive gameplan is hard to pull off over the course of a game, but it's tough. The key is for our offense to just keep scoring and scoring, and the Rams shouldn't be able to keep up.

Largely, I think none of the other NFC teams should threaten us if we're playing to what we're capable of. To me, it's some of the teams in the AFC, like the Ravens or Browns, that give me pause.

I don't see any team in the NFC beating us at home, especially if we're healthy.

Spent the entire second half at a dog rescue near Fresno. When we got back to the car I was stunned we pulled that victory off. And Milo was a good boy for another 12 years! It's an important date.

After the "Stain" that was the Ravens loss, I don't see the Niners as invincible or destined.

It's gonna be a tough road and I can see the Rams or Cowboys being capable of taking us to the wire if we don't have everything going right.

In the Super Bowl the Ravens would be correctly favored. And we'd have to play the kind of game a Shanahan Niners team rarely wins, nail biter, get the crucial drive stop and then come from behind and win it.

I WANT to be proven wrong, but after the "Stain" my faith is tempered.

Go Niners.

All that game showed is that TOs determine games a lot of the time….you're talking about multiple tipped balls that just fell into their hands, a good portion of that is luck. SF had some tipped balls that just fall into their hands.

No team is invincible. Baltimore lost to Pickett and the s**tty Steelers, the same team SF piss pounded.

why do we have to play from behind vs Baltimore?? SF had more yards, more rushing yards, better yards per play etc. they rolled down the field on the opening drive. One bad decision can change all that…BUT it sure as s**t doesn't mean that's always gonna be the outcome.

It's not like they were stopped the run. We avged 6.7 ypc. SF was better on converting on 3rd downs. They had 430 yards of offense vs them.

again all that game came down to was TOs and penalties (49ers had over 100 yards worth). Those are some of the most unreliable stats you can count on game in and game out.

I want to believe all this NY. That it was just an outlier.
But the Ravens looked faster and hungrier. The 49ers looked outmatched.

I love our team this year. I'm going to stand by their fate, win it all or not.
There's only one answer. The only team that can beat SF is SF.

From the Rams, don't forget that running back rook they have. I'm forgetting his name but highlights have been impressive.

I don't like the brushing over of the Rams by some. We should know better from having them in our division and they can get hot when Matt is hot.

The only other I'd mention are Lions. Not due to their standings but our lack of playtime against them.

All others, no comment no issue including Dallas in my opinion.

I agree and have been on that train for some time now
breaking down the opponents, DAL is coached well both sides of the ball, good QB play, good weapons in the pass game, high end pass rush, opportunistic in coverage, and good special teams
so I view DAL in the NFC as the best non SF squad

You are right tho, if we are on our game, we saw the result vs DAL, DAL would need to be on their game, and us off our game, or some bad bounces.
As of today, I'd rank the threats as:
1. Rams - They're a well-coached & relatively hot and a familiar division rival.
2. Lions - They're young, hungry and less familiar than the rest. They have no emotional baggage vs. the Niners.
3. Cowboys - Their talent gives them a punchers chance if they play a clean game, but they're limited by McCarthy IMO.

Philly and the rest aren't a threat.

Rams I don't buy it, they are a FF team, two WRs, a QB, and a RB. There's no depth. It would be Purdy and Aiyuk vs Witherspoon

Why does there need to be depth for WR's and QBs? If Kupp, Williams, Puka, Higbee and Stafford play, their offensive playmakers are near the top of the league. You take out Aiyuk and our offense also doesn't hum like it did before.

I'm talking about the squad, they play Witherspoon at corner, he gets like 100% of snaps..
so for instance, if we play LAR, and if one were to calculate the top 50 players in that game, pushing 40 of those would be 49ers..
they don't have organizational depth, or talent up and down the roster, like we do

they get eyeballs from folks, cuz they have a few highly visible stars, at the positions us fans are probably most aware of like QB, WR, and RB
I agree with the premise of coaching and QB goes a long way, and they can check both boxes, but they aren't a threatening roster top to bottom, far from it, imo

We're going to play the Rams in the Divsional. They're going to Dallas and there's a good chance Dallas will get knocked out. So for all of us that are s**tting our pants regarding LA ( definitely me), it's happening.

the silver lining is Id rather play them than Dallas. I think Dallas comes to SF with a BIG chip on its shoulder, and they might just beat us down
Rams - Their receiving core is top notch and if Stafford gets hot they'll be VERY tough.

The Lions can be problematic and IMO this is where we will need to make adjustments, Their OL is good and there RB's are very good.

Dallas doesn't worry me at all.

Philly has the players but there is something really wrong with them at this point.
Our biggest threat is Vegas.
It's a ways out, but forecast is calling for rain in Santa Clara that entire weekend and leading up.

Pretty far out, but may be a benefit if we play someone like the Lions or the Rams where we can just Punish them with the ground game.
