We don't grip the ball well in the rain. It's problematic for this team. QB, punt return, kicking game. Just not as good for the 49ers. Seems like other teams know how to play in the rain. Not us so much.

If I remember correctly, I don't think Purdy was wearing gloves that rainy day, because the downpour was unexpected. So I think Gloves will help in the rain for Purdy. But I share your concerns. With a precision timing and touch passing attack like the 49ers, the rain and wind will affect the offense to a certain degree. The nice thing about Kyle's offense is that it's *all weather* - and Purdy just has hand to hand it off to three good RB's if he doesn't feel like throwing that day.
