49ERS vs Packers Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Divisional Round

I know Love has had a good second half but the overreaction to the wild card game is crazy. He played well, but people are absolutely losing their s**t over 16/21 272 3.
I've heard he's all the way up to top 5 QB's in the league. let's pump the brakes a bit.

Love looked good against Dak and the Cowboys. If you have half a team, not hard to do. Cowboys and Eagles have different types of problems but their problems stymie them from being better against really good teams. If the Pack can't stop the run, it will be a long (or short) day for them. There are 3 RB's who can hurt the Packers and when you add Deebo, that equals a trip to the ER and then ICU.

He also made some horrible throws that turned into big plays due to blown coverages.

Like Brock wasnt 17/24 252 yards, 4 TDs 0 int against Dallas this year. It wasn't the playoffs but Brock's first game in the playoffs last year was 4 total touchdowns and 0 picks. It's funny because if Brock was a first round pick - they'd be talking about him the same way.

its all good. We are going to kick in the packers teeth. It's just a matter of time. They stand 0 chance.

100%

the way the media is fawning over love has to do with him being a former first rounder, but whatever, we see through it now.

just want brock to ball out and win it all. the national media can kick rocks.
Heard that Alex Kemp is the games ref on Saturday....he's pretty quick to throw flags IIRC.

Which ones? I don't have down, distance and game clock for you because I don't care enough to do that type of research. I can tell you that they were thrown off his back foot which led them to be under thrown.

I could ask you the same about those "gorgeous throws". He made some decent throws. But gorgeous? I don't know about that. I need proof. 🤣

Well one thing is for sure. I don't think our mediocre pass rush (full of star studded players) will do much to hinder Jordan Love. There's no reason to believe that the unit, which has underperformed this entire season, will all of a sudden turn on a switch and beat Love down. I'm hoping that AA can help plug the run and make the Packers one dimensional, thus allowing our LBs and secondary just play the pass and force errors.

Well one thing is for sure, you have some of the most idiotic posts I've seen on here in a long, long time. I'm sure many would agree with me, but your doom and gloom posts are not realistic and very flawed.

Our pass rush, especially since Chase Young came to our team has improved dramatically so you don't know what you're talking about. Also, we haven't had Armstead playing for what 6 games and Hargrave for a couple games yet we STILL have got a lot of pressures and have done pretty well with sacks. Not to mention, we LEAD the NFL in interceptions. Please stop talking you're just embarrassing yourself. Thanks anyway though for your warped opinions……."I'm Ron Burgundy???"

underperformed all season but basically has the same stats as last year. thats curious.

Forcing teams to have to get rid of the football quickly….not being able to go through their reads because of the pass rush is bad I guess. Grrr we don't have a million sacks.

Dude doesn't understand team football and how important the pass rush has been. Our DL is a massive reason why we're leading the league in INTs. Unless he thinks our secondary is full of stars.

Recency bias before the game.

After, "I guess the 49ers really are that good"

No, it'll be

"How did the Cowboys lose to this team?"

Not at all sure Love is the better QB. You could easily make the argument for Purdy. Whole season and over the long haul he really was better. Love improved recently against mostly bad teams. But was bad prior to that.

The Packers lost to the lowly Giants in December. 'Nuff said

Imo dismissing GB is a mistake. They are playing very good and Love has played really well. They don't know they should lose.
I hope we can run the ball very well against them and I hope we see an improved Niner defense from the last few games of the regular season.
We should see a boost with the return of a few key guys, but to act like GB has no chance is foolish, not to mention if you're playing the odds, GB is due against us.
