I don't think I posted anything on here about those games, because idc the outcome if I'm being honest, but I personally thought the cowboys and Cleveland would win.

With that said, I didn't think the cowboys were exponentially better than packers and same for Cleveland over texans. I wanted the texans to win but I wasn't sure how a rookie qb would do against a top defense like that.

so neither surprised me. It actually worked out as I hoped, but didn't expect.

hey YACBros. Could you provide a stat about GB's ability to limit YAC? (How well do they tackle).
TIA

Do you want an efficiency chart with YAC per reception, missed tackle%, etc. And give a ranking compared to the rest of the league like I do with the O line?

Nothing fancy, bro. Just a simple, where does GB rank in terms of limiting YAC. Top. middle, or bottom. Just wondering if there is YAC to be had in this game, and if Brock can 'keep it simple' and just get the ball into the hands of the YAC Bros, then let them cook.
It's HERE!!!! The Playoff edition of scouting!!!!

Naw, there were a few on here but not many. I picked them but wasn't completely confident in the pick. Thought it would come down to the wire.

The reasons I picked them last week was mostly how they matched up with the Cowboys. That completely goes in our favor this week as I think we are a very bad matchup for them. We aren't a one dimensional offense(Ceedee lamb) and have too many weapons.

Jonny always does a awesome job

I was back n forth a few times on the Texans but when it came down to pickems..I have my receipt, or whatever you guys call them lol

But yeah, I didn't pick the Packers lolol
The teams playing us should be scared. Stephen Ruiz should be scared because he's going to lose his job. Nick WRONG is about to be proven WRONG too.

Seeing a lot of people picking GB now, lol

In my interactions with a lot of GB fans last two days I've found out that thinking they're a good team with a dangerous QB and offense but still thinking 49ers will win this game unless they make big self hurting mistakes is being too cocky.

The same GB fans also appear to think Brock Purdy is easy to stop. That the Packers OL is so dominant they will have no issues with our pass rush and we're no different than Dallas. It also appears that they feel better going into the game against us with Love at QB than Aaron Rodgers in his prime. 🤷‍♂️

Well one thing is for sure. I don't think our mediocre pass rush (full of star studded players) will do much to hinder Jordan Love. There's no reason to believe that the unit, which has underperformed this entire season, will all of a sudden turn on a switch and beat Love down. I'm hoping that AA can help plug the run and make the Packers one dimensional, thus allowing our LBs and secondary just play the pass and force errors.

Sadly this. The pass rush has been a gigantic disappointment all season. They have the most talent of any team in the league by a wide, wide margin and yet, they're more anemic than they've been in the past 3 or so seasons. Can NOT get to the QB. Love for that to change but don't see it happening so, like you said, gotta let LBs and secondary make some plays and keep the gaps in that coverage tighter than they have been.

The packers are ranked 7th best in the league just behind us in tackling grade according to PFF. They miss 15.4% of their tackles overall. This is how their secondary fairs.

Johnson- 22.7%
Savage- 17.1%
Alexander- 15.4%
Nixon- 15.3%
Ballentine- 13.7%

Their LB's are all under 10%

The elephant in the room is the overall quality of this young Packer team. They aren't the 49ers but they are much better than the image most have of them. They beat the #2 seed by a wide margin, and it wasn't just because "the Cowboys were overrated." The Packers jumped out in front by executing better. Few saw that coming.

I said much earlier in this thread that this current Packer team has a lot in common with the 1981 49ers - they were young and didn't know they were not supposed to win, They just played. Their 13-3 record was largely due to beating teams they were supposed to lose to. They were an underdog to Cincy in the Super Bowl and squeaked out a win because of a great goal-line tackle by Dan Bunz that saved a touchdown. While they celebrated, they were still shocked at what they had accomplished against the odds.

The Packers are a lot like that team. They are too young and dumb to realize they aren't supposed to win this game. They have a bunch of talented young receivers that no one knows yet. Their OL talent is better than most recognize. Zach Tom has Pro Bowl talent. He won't be a walkover for Bosa and Young. So they will go out and play as if they will win the game. Hence, if they score first and add another TD in the 1st quarter, they will be a handful if the defense cannot control Aaron Jones. It will quickly turn into a shootout that will be decided by who has the ball last.

I'm not worried about rain. That is just media talk. If the 49ers defense does what they are capable of doing, the weather won't matter. The Packer offense defines their personality. Take that away from them and the game changes.

This may turn out to be the cakewalk some are predicting but only if the 49ers' defense shows up.
