49ERS vs Packers Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Divisional Round

Does anyone know if Trent and others are showing up wearing all Black like they did in Philly? If so GB is in for a long day of misery.

Sadly this. The pass rush has been a gigantic disappointment all season. They have the most talent of any team in the league by a wide, wide margin and yet, they're more anemic than they've been in the past 3 or so seasons. Can NOT get to the QB. Love for that to change but don't see it happening so, like you said, gotta let LBs and secondary make some plays and keep the gaps in that coverage tighter than they have been.
Sounds like an expectation gap. We have 48 sacks this season compared to 44 last season. This is on the same pace as the 2021 season with 47 sacks.

hey YACBros. Could you provide a stat about GB's ability to limit YAC? (How well do they tackle).
TIA

Do you want an efficiency chart with YAC per reception, missed tackle%, etc. And give a ranking compared to the rest of the league like I do with the O line?

Nothing fancy, bro. Just a simple, where does GB rank in terms of limiting YAC. Top. middle, or bottom. Just wondering if there is YAC to be had in this game, and if Brock can 'keep it simple' and just get the ball into the hands of the YAC Bros, then let them cook.

The packers are ranked 7th best in the league just behind us in tackling grade according to PFF. They miss 15.4% of their tackles overall. This is how their secondary fairs.

Johnson- 22.7%
Savage- 17.1%
Alexander- 15.4%
Nixon- 15.3%
Ballentine- 13.7%

It appears they are a solid tackling defense. Perhaps because they are more zone based than man. Thanks.
The packers give up an average of 115 YAC yards per game. That ranks them 18th most in the league.

For the 2nd year in a row, Purdy is the lowest ranked QB in the playoffs. That Ravens game dropped him from MVP to scrub that's not even as good as Baker Mayfield.

I get ya. Brock doesn't care so I don't care.

All the rating people do is look at stats. The fact 3 of those 4 picks were just bad luck is not considered.

The next 3 games will move him back on top.
