We missed many scoring opportunities in that Bears game.

Their winning streak at the end of the season came against teams a combined 19 games under .500.

and then they destroyed a 12 win Dallas team which for the record i thought Dallas would win easily too for the same reason you outlined above

you can only play the teams in front of you
But Love didn't "turn it around" so much as their schedule got comically soft. Heaping praise on a guy for playing solid against the leagues bottom feeders is not normal. Just think, no one brags about what Brock did to the Cardinals and Giants.

RE: Dallas, that team beat 3 winning teams all year: The Lions on a controversial call, Philly during their implosion, and Miami (who also didn't beat any winning teams).

We still beat KC, Detroit and Dallas. I think that's pretty good.

No denying the Packers are a really good team that seemed to put it together the last half of this season.

What I'm not certain yet is if they are a team that can compete for a Super Bowl this year. This game will answer that question however.

agreed last few weeks packers look great they definitely had a rough stretch int he beginning. Love looked super inconsistent early in year especially with his accuracy

It seems like 49er fans totally despise us as much as Our divisional rivals do? Is that true?

My Wife is a Packers fan, so I can't hate on them too much or Gloat when we win. At least not while she is around.

My hatred of the Packers had more to do with the mid to late 90s when you had Favre and they always seemed to beat us. Once he was gone, I didn't really feel much of a rivalry anymore.

Honestly, I don't even hate the Packers for that. Great franchise, great players, didn't throw it in our faces etc. I was just mad at our guys for losing.
Hate is reserved for the Eagles, LOB Seahawks, and Kyle Williams.
You guys remember a game where we were way up at halftime like 24-0 and you guys rallied and we barely won 30-27? This was Rodgers first or second season as a starter? I'm guessing this was 2008? I remember that was kind of the end of our dominance over SF.

Between 2004 and 2010, most of us have just blacked out on those seasons. Poor Gore and Willis.
been so long, hopefully niners still remember how to play football

And Dallas was proven to be fake news. They matched up poorly vs GB and got exposed. Dallas was clearly not prepared. The coaching on both sides were awful. You think that's the case here?!

Packers are a fun story. They ain't at the level of SF. So let's keep s**t real

they are a good team though and any given sunday no one here thought we would lose to the browns without Chubb or Vikings without JJ. Yes those came down to the wire but it can just take 1-2 mistakes in a bad weather game that makes the difference

i bet if we played packers 10 times we would win 9 times we have to make sure this isn't the 1 we lose

Alex Smith was your Quarterback. We dominated the 1st half but you guys came back in 2nd half. I remember being nervous in that 2nd half as you guys edged closer.
I hate the week before big games. By the time the game arrives we've heard every possible outcome and score predicted by one of the hundreds of bloggers and writers.

Yeah, I mean sometimes I hear, "Green Bay" and my brain wants to go back to the Favre days and how ugh that was and it seemed like FOREVER before the dude retired. I hated GB lol. But these ain't no Favre days(and last I heard, he was allegedly ripping off welfare lol I digress..). I don't like Green Bay much cause of the ol skool associations but..some of the teams I dislike the most in the NFL, got wiped out last weekend and it was delicious 😋
