49ERS vs Packers Pregame Thread - 2023 Season Divisional Round

The packers HC, QB, RB, skill positions, and defense all played outstanding against Dallas. And all of those for Dallas played poorly.

In order for the Packers to win tomorrow, a similar trend would have to happen.

I'll give the guy credit...he put in a lot of work and he certainly used a LOT of words to high level the position rankings. But it's crazy to me how the dude overlooks his clear bias when discussing this.

Guy goes through great effort to bash Purdy as basically getting away with stuff he shouldn't get away with. Hmm...maybe he's better than you think? Nah, just a 7th round pick who's getting lucky time and time again.

Either way I thought it would be interesting to see another POV on the matchup.

What work did he put in lol? He just mumbles around for paragraphs about guys he likes doesn't like. I see no nuance or football talk.

saying the packers have the advantage at WR/TE is about as homer as it gets. Not a single person is taking there's over ours

Am I missing some detailed breakdown videos or something?

dude sounds like any fan in a fan forum. Why is Brock "getting away with stuff" and Love isn't? Dude's constantly throwing off his back foot and just chucking it downfield.

I know I sound like a homer, but I got absolutely nothing from that "breakdown"

That wouldn't happen. We would win.

I hope the team comes out like postseason NY, fired up and not having it. I like it

Love is in Love with his own fadeaway, we should pick one off and house it

Yeah, very curious to see how well his fade away works against a team that has linebackers.

"But, he also gets away with s**t that doesn't make sense though. For example, for an NFL QB, his arm-strength is mediocre at best. His intermediate tightly covered throws and deep out throws should not be getting there as consistently as they do. A good NFL corner should be picking off the large majority of those that I see on tape. They just don't have NFL velocity. However, they aren't getting them, and it really makes no sense."

I think it makes no sense to him because he is not seeing when Brock is releasing the ball vs where the receiver is at in his route.

It sounds like he's saving the actual breakdown details for the podcast he's doing but he claimed to have watched all our games so that's work of course.

But yeah that was my point essentially. Like this quote

"what shows up on tape is that Brock Purdy was the last pick in the Draft for observable in-game reasons, and Jordan Love was a 1st Round pick for observable in-game reasons."

I'm sorry but there was nothing from Brock on tape that showed he should've gone in the 7th round, let alone at the end of it. It's a homer way of saying "Love has the physical traits that get guys drafted in the first round and Brock doesn't"

But it leaves out the mental and football traits that are CONSTANTLY on display by Brock which would've had him easily drafted in the first round in hindsight.

it's comical that some think this is going to be a close game. We will probably punt once or twice and it'll be in the fourth while we are trying to kill time. Green Bay isn't in the same realm when it comes to quality of the team. These young guys on offense are going to be confused and beaten down.

They sure didn't look all that confused against the Cowboys.

Lafleur will have them ready. He knows our defensive system quite well.

I really think the cowboys were a joke. I don't mean that in a way to diminish what the packers did, they played awesome and dominated them but I also don't think the cowboys were an elite team. They're a talented team with piss poor leadership and are super soft. All year, they struggled against any good teams and are a different team when they face adversity.

Same way we demolished the cowboys, they aren't in the same class as us (cowboys). I think the score will be 38-20, with the packers getting a touchdown late. I don't see their defense stopping us many times and I think that'll put their offense in a bind. Our defense is legit, especially when rested and healthy.

I agree the Cowboys were not well-coached. However, a good part of why they looked so bad last week was because Dallas underestimated the young talent on that GB team. I trust we won't do the same. The fact their defense practices against most of the stuff Kyle runs will make it tougher.
My God, according to the national media Jordan Love has turned into f**king Tom Brady and is gonna come into San Francisco and railroad us.... my lord

I'd bet you were convinced GB would win at home 2 years ago. Your hypotheticals are irrelevant. SF has been the better team all season and it's not close. Enjoy one last game and then have a nice offseason.
Biggest ass hat on TV with Brady Quinn picking.... taking GB and TB... like my lord
