NYG got the upset, so we hosted the champ game
that was the Kyle Williams game
so i have learned to stop rooting for a perceived better matchup, and just enjoy some postseason football, see what happens..

Tbf, we had that game won and lost it because of dumbass Williams. So hoping for a home NFCC game against a lesser opponent is never the wrong move. Just it's playoff football and things happen.

the main reason I think we've never won a chip since 2011 is because our team was built around playing mistake free football and if we made a mistake, we weren't good enough to over come it.

this year we are built on a ridiculously good offense and a very good defense. We can put up 30+ if we need to, under jimmy we needed everytbing to go right and the defense to get turnovers for that to happen.

The only game we lost this season even though we won the TO battle was the Browns game. The other 3 losses (not including wk18) we turned the ball over 3+ times in each. If we protect the ball, I like our chances vs anyone.

We were a 3ft missed field goal from winning that Browns game too.

Yea. There were a few things that went wrong in that game. The missed FG like you mentioned. The bs defensive penalties that helped CLE take the lead late and the dropped would be TD by Aiyuk.

Sucks that KW should have had more ball security and awareness.. but i don't blame him for trying to make something happen. as we couldn't move the football at all in the second half

I was at that game. The weather should of been just fair catching, especially since he muffed TWO punts in that game. Dude is a full blown dips**t. I 100% think he should of fair caught it and the weather was wet and misty.

also, after that - I believe we got a strip on eli but the refs called the play dead too fast.

I remember the officials claiming they insta-blew the play dead of the RB that fumbled too (we forced and recovered). Then in the Superbowl, the exact same thing happened and it was a fumble.

Yep. That was infuriating.

i was there too.. fair catching should have came from the coach, but KW had the green light (just like the Giants were smart enough to FC)

also fair catching would have done nothing. like i said we couldn't move the ball anymore

Took 5 turnovers from the saints the previous week to beat them. Harbaughs offenses always were mediocre

Lost it mostly because the offense couldn't covert a single 3rd down.

I had a perfect vantage point when I saw that fumble and recovery from where I was sitting. That would given us field goal range too. So much for home field advantage.

luck is a big part of the game, especially when it comes to ref calls. We just need to beat the brakes off of our opponents and not let those calls be such a major factor .

That year for sure. Next two years, and in '12 especially, they were one of the most efficient offenses in the league.

Seriously. I think it was the same crew too (not positive). But yeah, leave no doubt and don't put yourself in position to where Vegas can influence the game one way or another.

Didn't complete a single pass to a WR from what I recall.
I keep seeing all these people online and media talking about what team or teams are the 49ers really afraid to face in the NFC or whatever. I mean seriously what is this s**t, I know they have nothing else to talk about from a Niner angle cuz we're on bye. But how about the idea all these other teams don't really wanna face the Niners. As we know any given Sunday but come on this is nonsense.

I agree.

Just face who we have to face.

Which kinda sucks because I do want to have rooting interest to enjoy the games more.

Ironically the playoffs from a football fan standpoint is enjoyable when your team isn't in it.......then I'd go hard rooting against Ravens, Chiefs, Rams, Cowboys, Eagles, Packers. Of course I prefer the Niners be in it, but this the only small negative (unless you can guarantee the Lombardi in advance, then maybe not, haha).

Even the AFC side, I want my rematch against KC/Baltimore, which means I'd have to root for them on some level which is unthinkable....

I'm soooooooooooo TORNNNNNNNNNNNN. Somebody help me, LMFAO....

I think he completed a pass to Crabtree right before the end of regulation, but my god.....Vernon Davis saved us from being embarrassed.
