Division rivalries are different. Saying the Rams almost lost to NY, Washington, and New Orleans doesn't mean much. We see them twice a year. They know all our tendencies and IIRC Stafford was carving this defense up in the first game (minus Cupp) before his own player tipped a pass to Oliver (haha) and changed the game around.
Home field means nothing when it's your division rivals. You ppl better be PRAYING that Detroit cleans up the mess by taking down LA, and hopefully does one better by beating down Dallas. Or we are in deep trouble
Ok Mr."12-5 isn't good enough to win a Super Bowl" aka mr. "It's time to panic after losing a meaningless game where all our starters were in street clothes by the 2nd half", They see us twice a year,"know all our tendencies", and Shanahan is still, what? 10-5 against McVay all time? 9-2 since 2019? Niners own LA, and have beaten better Rams squads than this current team. only way they lose to them is if they turn the ball over and beat themselves, that goes out to the entire NFC.
49ers may see the Rams next weekend, and when they beat the crap out of them, I'm going to come back on this forum and laugh at all of you who thought they were a legitimate threat.
McVay beat us when it mattered.

Trent Williams played with a high ankle sprain. Jimmy was playing with a throwing shoulder that needed surgery a few weeks later but ya "McVay won"
what part of that game screamed to you we got outcoached? i feel like some people don't understand football and just watch it which is odd when you are posting so much here

Cowboys are a pass heavy offense and the Packers have a pretty good pass defense. I think the Cowboys offense will be slowed down and the Packers offense can do just enough to pull off the upset.

ill be honest ive seen a few condensed games of packers because we may play them i don't see how they beat the Cowboys. Their defense is awful both against the run and pass

Hard for me to see the Eagles beating anyone with the complete meltdown happening with that team.

Seriously...that dude reaching hard.
A super team won at home by 3 points. Let's fear them when they're in a rebuild just cuz they overachieved and made the playoffs.
Rams beat 2 playoff teams this year. Browns in their first game with Flacco starting and their best corner out of the game and us playing our backups.
McVay is a great offensive mind and we all know their offense is legit if Stafford is protected well and Kyren Williams has been playing great football. But there are levels to things and overall our roster is much better. Anything can happen of course but nobody should fear the Rams.

Yea. I have watched a few packers games myself. Their defense is 9th best in the league in passing yards per game. Have only 3 less sacks than the 49ers D and are tied 3rd best in the league in passing TD's allowed per game.

McVay beat us when it mattered.
He almost beat us to keep us out of the playoffs a few weeks prior, and that year the Rams probably were the better team, plus we were injured going into that game and still could've/should've won it.
Now we don't have to beat them a third time (we didn't even play them hard twice), we're the better team, we're home, we're f**king hungry.
If McVay can overcome all that when he could never beat us head to head in the regular season when we had a real QB, then s**t.........

If there's any X factor that should comfort these worrying Niner fans over the Rams, is that it will be BROUGHT UP numerous times to our guys "hey, how did it feel to get knocked out by the Rams in 2021 when you had the lead and dropped that interception?".....
You think our players forget anything???

Honestly, the X-factor vs the Rams would be Ambry Thomas. The last time the 9ers player the Rams week 2, they had Isaiah Oliver in the slot, which led to a lot of quick passes. The 9ers defense since then has changed tremendously with the additions of Ambry starting, Randy Gregory, Chase Thomas and Ji'Ayair Brown starting. Not to mention Armstead will be coming back and will only strengthen the D-line and it's rotation.
Scared of the Rams, that's cute, NFC teams should be scared of the 9ers!!!!

Our D held Williams to under 4 yards per carry and Stafford to under 6 yards per pass attempt in week 2. That was with Oliver playing the slot in that game 🤢. Our D had 2 INT's and pressured Stafford on 37% of his dropbacks. We didn't have Young or Gregory than. If it wasn't for Brock missing 2 deep balls, that game would have been a blowout.
