You think our players forget anything???

Our D held Williams to under 4 yards per carry and Stafford to under 6 yards per pass attempt in week 2. That was with Oliver playing the slot in that game 🤢. Our D had 2 INT's and pressured Stafford on 37% of his dropbacks. We didn't have Young or Gregory than. If it wasn't for Brock missing 2 deep balls, that game would have been a blowout.

Some of you are remembering a different game than I am. Stafford was shredding us in the first half. We shut him and their offense down in the second half, but it was tied at halftime and they had scored 3 times. And that was without Cooper Kupp. We're a better team now than we were in week 2, but so are the Rams.

Stafford threw the ball 55 times and barely had 300 yards. He also threw two INT's and only 1 TD pass. Sure, it was tied up at halftime but Stafford was far from the stud that you think he was.

He had 2 picks in the second half, but they scored on every possession in the first half.

11 plays 50 yards
9 plays 60 yards
13 plays 88 yards

So yeah 17 points and 200 yards at the half is pretty good.
Ideally the Packers would take out the Cowboys this week.

But I also think we should be hoping the Lions and Eagles win so the Cowboys have a tougher divisional round opponent.

Because as much as I would love to see the Eagles get knocked out early, I don't want the Cowboys to face the Bucs in round 2. That's a layup IMO.

If we play the Rams and the Cowboys play the Bucs that would be worst case scenario IMO.

Sure. Than we clamped down in the second half. I saw that alot this season. Our defense gives up some yards and scores in the first half because the opponents scripted plays catch us off guard. Than good coaching kicks in and we make halftime adjustments. Been watching it all season long. The score in week 2 was closer than it should have been. Brock hits those two deep passes in the 2nd half and the rams don't kick a meaningless FG, we win 40 something to 20.

Keep in mind a key moment in that game was a Rams drive getting killed by a Stafford interception that went right through Williams' (IIRC) hands. Really just lucky in that instance. They did a good job against our D.

Their D is not very good though. We had success even with missed opportunities.

Truth is, the Lions are the only team other than the Niners who could beat Dallas at their place. I know Campbell would have that team FURED up after that last loss there.

Aiyuk was out most of the game IIRC.
I think Cowboys will beat the Packers, but I really don't wanna see the Rams in the divisionals, and that game is going down the wire imo.

Rams 49ers would obviously be a classic rivalry, Nor Cal v So Cal, McVay vs Shanny showcase
Pack 49ers another classic, and we get our first look at this young GB team
Eagles 49ers another classic, our recent rivals
Bucs 49ers, I got nothing.. John Lynch would be proud? ..

i said this yesterday but I'll repeat - the second greatest benefit of winning home field is that we don't have to play in this kind of crap this post season. No hostile field and no blizzards. Lol

Love it nothing better than having breakfast and being all toasty watching at home some snow weather playoff football ha

I will be in warm Vegas lol

I don't know enough about him to get it
I could be wrong, of course. I often am. But I just have this gut feeling that the 49ers will face a heavy dose of the NFC East in the playoffs. The first contest will come against the Eagles. If they survive that, the 49ers will face Dallas in the NFC Championship Game.
