It's not actual "fear". It's just the Greg Popovich line about having proper respect for the opponent... which I assume was heightened after yesterday. Sorta like the first Cardinal's game after THEY beat Dallas. Of course it's the playoffs and the idea of cleaning out lockers provides plenty of "appropriate fear".

Cohn is riding Jordan Love. Because he likes PHYSICAL attributes. The same reason he thought Sam Darnold was better than Purdy. He looks at height, weight, speed, arm strength. He doesn't understand processing, reads, timing and anticipation, mechanics, decision making, getting the ball out quick and throwing accuracy. It's all physical attributes. Yeah I like Jordan Love but he's been doing it against weak teams for the most part. CJ Stroud is good too. But he doesn't understand the stuff Brock does. He just doesn't get the mental aspect of the game at all.

If we beat Green Bay, losing that Week 18 game to the Rams is going to look like a big blessing in disguise. I remember when we lost and everyone panicked that we would have to play a red hot Rams team in the Divisional and vengeful Cowboys team in the NFCC. Instead, both the Cowboys AND Rams got knocked out, something that wouldn't have been possible had we won Week 18 since round 1 would've been Dallas vs. Rams and Green Bay vs. Detroit.
But of course if we lose to the Packers… I'd rather not think about how bad that "meaningless" Week 18 loss would look

I think it's more of what Fred talked about. It's rare in any NFL season that "the best team" wins a Superbowl because it's one and done playoffs. You get 3 hours to perform up to your potential and if you don't your ass is out.
Every team in the playoffs has the ability to have a day where they perform beyond expectations and every team can have just an off day.
When we beat the packers 2 years ago, we had ZERO business winning that game. Packers were the 1 seed, well rested. We came in completely demolished injury wise, having just played a gruelling set of games to squeak into the playoffs. We won that game because the packers let us hang around and we got an unlikely punt block TD.
We could be playing the panthers next week (impossible I know) and I'd have some level of worry just because of the nature of football. Hopefully we smash them

why is no one talking about jaire alexander. hes their best CB and he reinjured his already hurt ankle last night. he was able to walk off but didnt return. has anyone heard how severe the injury is? hes their best CB that would help us tremendously to have their D without him.

Jaire is an awesome player, but I'll never forget him making a business decision as Deebo came right at him on 3rd and 7 with the game on the line in the playoffs.
No DB wants that smoke with Deebo, so I don't blame him.

This is a game where we need to run the ball primarily to set up the play action and keep their passing attack on the sideline. They will probably try the same against us, but with the return of Arik Armstead to the interior defensive line, I like our chances to control possession and the tempo of the game.

He has no idea just a click bait whore....He throws out great topics that with a good writer like the Matt's or Ray Ratto would be very interesting. The problem is he has no ability to be objective and has only his opinions which are usually vacant of any depth. Just look when you see a great topic with SI on it, move on to the next article, Works for me.

Our defense gives up 8 more yards per game through the air than the packers. We give up 39 less rushing yards per game than they do.
