This is a game where we need to run the ball primarily to set up the play action and keep their passing attack on the sideline. They will probably try the same against us, but with the return of Arik Armstead to the interior defensive line, I like our chances to control possession and the tempo of the game.

Our defense gives up 8 more yards per game through the air than the packers. We give up 39 less rushing yards per game than they do.

We are a better team and if our guys don't choke like the Cowboys we should get the "W", but young talented teams playing with house money are dangerous. We have to pound it and impose our will to make it clear to them they aren't playing the Cowboys.
Looks like they lost an edge rusher

Jaire Alexander re-injured his ankle. I'm sure he plays but he's not gonna be 100% at all

Not worried one bit.

Jaire is an awesome player, but I'll never forget him making a business decision as Deebo came right at him on 3rd and 7 with the game on the line in the playoffs.

No DB wants that smoke with Deebo, so I don't blame him.

It's officially Super Gremlin season.

lol better believe it. Our receivers are gonna be p***y footing around like Dallas was last night.

Alexander is pretty sweet, he's so re-injured that ankle last night too.

Man eff the packers. Eff their coach and EFF Jordan love. They aren't playing the chump ass cowboys next week. They're about to get harm put on them and them young fellas about to get introduced to a real contender.

I can't wait to see if JohnnyDel reviews that Packers game. That felt a lot like LaFleur copied Kyle's script to a tee.

Time for the Master to remind the young padawan where he stands.

Dallas sacked him on a 3rd down on their first drive. A holding penalty extended their drive and the rest was history. Love never really was under pressure after that

Maybe, time will tell. It won't happen here but maybe somewhere else. I don't really see it happening in Dallas either cause they'll most likely sign Dak to an extension. He's due $59M and only way to ease the cap hit is to extend him. They also have to pay Lamb and Parsons this off season. So I don't see him getting a chance there but maybe somewhere else, he's still super young. I don't view love as someone eventually being elite but we will see. He had great numbers this year, really curious to see how he does next year when higher expectations are on that team.

i think we steamroll them, but the weather may even out the game. I hope not. Our defense will be nearly all back and rested, they've been great in that situation and our offense is back at full health. Our run game is superior to theirs and their D blows. We just need to not turn the ball over.

dallas D is overrated, they're only good playing with a lead because they try to get turnovers, but like you said they give up a lot and play super undisciplined. I'd love for Quinn to get hired by the Seahawks.

Not sure how weather evens stuff out, just based on what you said after that comment? Agree with everything else

Depends on how bad the weather is. If it's bad, then it makes each teams pass game worse, which means they'll both rely more on the run game - which means the offenses are more predictable so the defenses can just line up to stuff they box every down.

we still may have the edge but it hampers both teams and makes them more predictable. That's assuming the rain is bad. If it's light rain or just misty, and doesn't hurt the pass game, then i think it's much less of a factor.

i just think that if both teams are struggling to pass cause of bad weather, it evens it out because both offenses are one dimensional. If it's clear weather and when can do everything like normal, we have a massive advantage. They also have a more mobile qb than we do, so I think that makes it even more even if it's raining bad.
Does Jordan Love run much? I have barely seen him play other than yesterday. He looks athletic, but not really a runner.

Just going on social media and listening to our fans….man a lot of us are sounding like scary p***y cats lol.

It's the playoffs and no team is gonna be complete trash….but we're getting the 7th seed at home! They barely made the playoffs. They squeaked by the panthers and Bears. They lost to Tampa and the freaking Giants. The beat a Nick Mullens lead team

People acting like they're some top end team are complete out of touch with who they played.

maybe I'm too confident, but if we can't beat these dudes we have no business going/winning the SB anyway

I'm with you, I think we should slap the s**t out of the remaining teams. They'll be challenging but nothing we shouldn't handle. If we don't make it to the sb, that's a massive eff up on our parts. This has lined up great.

j also like our chances against anykne in the AFC. They'll be tough but I think this is the best shot we've had at the SB in a long time. Maybe since 2011, before we beat ourselves. We would of smashed those pats.

He's def a pass first qb but he's more than athletic enough to run on you. It's something to account for, for sure. He isn't Lamar but he isn't Joe Flacco either. Lol I'd say he's above average at scrambling but he looks to pass first.

Hate to see a serious injury but I want them banged up and no rest. Lol I don't want serious injuries but I hope they have some nagging ones 😈

2012 9ers were infinitely better than the 2011 9ers. Shouldve pounded the Ravens. Most disappointing coaching job i've ever seen.

The idea that Love was allowed to play but Lance wasn't, simply isn't true.

Year 1 - Lance - 2nd String (starts 2 games); Love - 3rd String (doesn't even dress for a single game)
Year 2 - Lance - Starting QB (is injured during 2nd start); Love - 2nd String (started 1 game)
Year 3 - Lance 3rd String (leaves prior to season); Love - 2nd String (started 0 games)

I agree that Lance still has big time potential, but to say he wasn't given opportunity is inaccurate as far as I'm concerned.

He was very unlucky in that two very badly-timed injuries curtailed him, and then internal competition provided a very unexpected redundancy for him.

Love actually played a full year of football….as a starter. He was not good at the beginning of the year or in spot starts. He actually got to play meaningful football. The whole he developed on the bench s**t is dumb. He didn't improve until he got to play real football.

Lance got what 30 passing attempts as a starter here? Not backup s**t tossed into games with no meaningful reps with starters. I'm talking you're the guy all off season and get a year to play football. Lance got 30 passing attempts and 90% of those came in a rain storm. Dats it.

If I told people that Lance could be Jordan love at the beginning of this year, ya'll would have laughed and hated it. Now a bunch of you are afraid to play him this week lol.

What took place this yr backs up my stance that playing live football making young players who NEED NFL reps better…not sitting on the bench.

again I don't want to debate it all day…it's over and Brock is the man. That's my two cents on the subject.

Love played a year of football as a Year Four pro. Lance was presented with a year of football as a Year Two pro, but could not perform (not his fault).
Had Lance stayed healthy he would also have played a ton of snaps last season, even if he had a start like Love's. If Purdy had not defied all expectations Lance would have had further chances too.

In other words, the coaching staff here provided Lance with as much opportunity as they were able.

I agree that Lance needs reps, but you can't get them if a) you have a broken leg, or b) there is somebody clearly better than you on the roster.

Why do so many people keep saying they are playing with house money or have nothing to lose?

Before the Cowboys game, their fans were happy to make the playoffs. It's completely opposite now and they are talking Super Bowl. And that Love is the 2nd coming of Mahomes. It's round 2 and 2 games away from the Super Bowl. There is no 'nothing to lose' narrative anymore.

Cohn is riding Jordan Love. Because he likes PHYSICAL attributes. The same reason he thought Sam Darnold was better than Purdy. He looks at height, weight, speed, arm strength. He doesn't understand processing, reads, timing and anticipation, mechanics, decision making, getting the ball out quick and throwing accuracy. It's all physical attributes. Yeah I like Jordan Love but he's been doing it against weak teams for the most part. CJ Stroud is good too. But he doesn't understand the stuff Brock does. He just doesn't get the mental aspect of the game at all.

He has no idea just a click bait whore....He throws out great topics that with a good writer like the Matt's or Ray Ratto would be very interesting. The problem is he has no ability to be objective and has only his opinions which are usually vacant of any depth. Just look when you see a great topic with SI on it, move on to the next article, Works for me.

Precisely. Like father, like son. He's not a journalist, he's a pot stirrer. He has no genuine interest in the team and, frankly, probably thrives better when the team is doing poorly than when they're winning. Why the Webzone continually pins his articles in the queue is a joke.

Yeah probably trure.
De'Vondre Campbell gonna get the Kyle treatment…you watch
