So, I treated this game like a pre-season game. I really only focused on the 2nd half after nearly all starters were taken out of the game.

Just finished watching this. Thanks, jonny. Great video as usual.

Its a good thing that Armstead said he will be back for the playoffs. Definitely a sigh of relief for me personally. Now we just need Jennings back and we will be all set to go on this SB run.
Jonny,

Is it crazy to think Beal>Gregory, Hawkins>Gipson, Ryan > Brown?

Obviously Gipson is the best player of those three, but Hawkins has really impressed me with his coverages. I believe he was PFFs top graded safety in college his final year and he's played well in the small amount of reps we've seen from him.

How do you view those three new players?

It is a little crazy, lol. I see where you're coming from, but remember, this was playing against backups. Beal is undersized. He's a specialty player for pass rush situations, mainly. Hawkins also had a HUGE PI in this game. He flashed, but Gip is rarely wrong. Ryan over Brown - he doesn't have the physical burst Brown does.

I'm a sucker for players who try to make plays or breaks on the ball. I could see Hawkins being our future FS if he keeps working. I love Brown the prospect but I trust Ryan more right now. He understands angles and tackles better IMO. And Beal appeared to set the edge pretty well, even if it was on backups. I was a small defensive lineman so I'm biased there too.
