Should the 49ers retain Steve Wilks?

Most likely scenario.

Agreed. The only major metric I found that we've had considerable dropoff is in our run defense. Last year, we averaged 3.4 ypc. This year, it's 4.1.

I wouldn't be mad at this at all.

Watching Huf closely last year and this he was wayyyyy better last year. He had some cyst and had to play on it all year this season. He never looked right imo.
Hopefully he's got some counters for Johnson

Yep. Already setting himself up for failure.

I was just wondering. Has there been any game where Wilks HASN'T adjusted his scheme at some point. It's gotten to the point that as fans we expect that the defense will struggle early, then "adjust" and clamp down. Can this mofo call a game where the defense comes out firing on all cylinders from the get-go and doesn't need any tweaking at halftime ?!

Why won't anyone hire him so we can get rid of him already….

TBH I think he's just being politically correct and not giving an opponent any billboard material etc. Its not like he will say oh yeah I got a whole scheme ready for this dude lol
