Should the 49ers retain Steve Wilks?

Yeah if we win the Superbowl, its hard to really fire your DC. Well unless the game is like 50-49 and our defense just looked completely useless.

If you can get Mike Zimmer or Mike Vrabel you do.
Unless the defense gets a bunch of turnovers, and gives up 17 points or less, he should be gone. Win or lose.
Win or lose, I'm out on Wilks. Half-time adjustments are great. But he needs to go into the game with a better game plan. It's as if he's winging it in the first half to see how they'll play us and then he adjusts. Now, I know that's not how it works. He's not doing that. But this is how it looks. His initial game plan keeps getting destroyed. There's too much talent on defense for it to look this bad in the first half. He has to go.

Dave Pasch who calls NFL and college football games kinda went in on Wilks, said the defense was underachieving for the level of talent that exists and is considerably more predictable than in previous years.

This says it very well!

I'm out on Wilks BUT only if we can get someone better.

Alex Smith had some comments about how basic our defense is as well. Not sure if anybody posted but I saw a quick snippet on twitter.

Seattle will hire Wilks as their next HC.

Pretty much says everything you need to know about Wilks. Not looking fwd to him trying to match wits with Reid and PM
Maybe once Wilks comes up with his gameplan for the Super Bowl, we just take it and do the opposite.

Tell him it's the second half when it's the first half.
