With the way things are going on defense, it looks like the talent is carrying the defense. not the DC/scheme.

Can you show me the defense that was great b/c of the scheme and not the talent? The talent should be carrying the defense. They are the one's on the field

That's my point, if we didn't have the talent we would be losing games. The schemes and talent years prior were better with less talent

I saw we let him walk.. we still have the talent on Defense and Wilks was never all that anyhow..

We should fire him and bring back Saleh If he becomes available. Nothing personal, I just miss the energy we we're so accustomed too under Salah and Demeco. I say Bring back that Intensity

I wouldn't fire him but if he leaves we'll be okay. I would try and hire Michigan's DC Jesse Minter. He's 40 years old and really bright. He was with the Ravens as DB coach before Jim Harbaugh hired him so he has an NFL background. I like the aggressive style that Michigan played. I'm sure Harbaugh will take him with him if he moves to the NFL.

I want us to stop being a bend bend and don't break defense to a defense breaking the opposing offense every time

I'm asking for too much now that it's playoff time, but if we lose defensive players next year.. this scheme is not going to work

The 3rd option is irrelevant since he needs to be here 2+ yrs to get comp picks, but my answer is NO, I like Wilks unlike others, and the players love him, doesn't matter what fans think in the end, we're not a bad organization, Jed has turned it around.

Saleh and Ryans all got better in year two during their tenure. I see no reason why that trend wouldn't continue with Wilks.

I know Pete probably wouldn't want to be a DC at this point, but I think he would be very good with our group. Money talks.
