Who would we get? I'd rather not have the defense learn another system.

If he does get a HC gig, what do people think about Jack Del Rio? I know Washington's defense was really bad but I don't think that was just on him. They started blowing up the team to get ready for a rebuild mid-season and he didn't have much to work with. He grew up just 30 miles up the 880.

Rather go with a young guy with new ideas. Curious if Daniel Bullocks is ready.

I wouldn't fire him but if he leaves we'll be okay. I would try and hire Michigan's DC Jesse Minter. He's 40 years old and really bright. He was with the Ravens as DB coach before Jim Harbaugh hired him so he has an NFL background. I like the aggressive style that Michigan played. I'm sure Harbaugh will take him with him if he moves to the NFL.
I like this idea. New blood. The DB coach is a plus too

IMO, the jury is still out on him.
He has definitely improved the secondary and developed the players there.
To me, it comes down to the playoffs and the SB.

Keep him for cheap. If not, he can leave. This defense is stacked so you really can't screw it up that badly.

A new DC is going to take time to acclimate. It would be especially hard if it is someone who has never been a DC and is not within the team right now. If you want a young guy, to me that has to be a promotion within, like Demaco Ryan a few years ago.

He's the scapegoat for all frustrations, everyone knows it. Been obvious all season
