Looks like rain during the game folks.

If this team can't handle Santa Clara weather they probably don't deserve to be in the playoffs lol

It's not that the team can't handle the weather, I feel it makes the playing ground more even when it shouldn't. Especially when I feel our roster is way more talented than theirs, take the Chicago game when Trey first started. We were way more talented than that group, but the weather played a factor in evening the playing field. I get your point too though, if this team can't beat the Packers we don't really deserve to win or win it all.

More talented, but didn't have our act together. That same group of players lost 3 of their next 6 games, with no weather excuse (or Trey story) to fall back on.
CMC cemented this unit.
Brock's tiny hands with wet balls? Uh oh.

rain/bad weather neutralizes talent discrepancies if we were an underdog we would want rainbad weather not when you are favored

also this team plays best in cold weather games considering how physical we are so it isn't like we need it to be 70 and sunny
A 50% chance of less than a tenth of an inch of rain during the game. I think Dr Bill's thread said it best.

Weather predictions typically cover a fairly wide swath. How much rain actually will fall on Levis is impossible to predict. We've all seen storms where one side of town gets hammered and the other side barely gets wet.
not really excited about the rain, but what can ya do! i dont think it changes our game plan
Rain will only affect the fans being uncomfortable in their seats.

It could affect turnovers or dropped passes depending on how hard it rains. I don't know that it gives one team and advantage but the Niners may not be able to attack the Packers weak DBs on deep patterns.
It looks pretty clear on Saturday from the forecast in Santa Clara.

Yep it's all light rain. It's going to be sprinkling at times during the game, but nothing that should impact it whatsoever.
This thread useless without those lady weather forecasters in it.

Rain is expected to fall at times during Saturday night's divisional round playoff game between the San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

NBC Bay Area Meteorologist Kari Hall said fans heading to the game should pack a poncho or other rain gear.

As for the temperature, fans should prepare for upper 50s.

Wind speeds are expected to hover around 10 mph, with gusts peaking at about 20 mph.

Impossible with absolute certainty, yes. But, again, a 50% chance of minimal rain is the forecasted result. Meaning the odds of a materially different result are slim to none, while the odds of a slightly different result are higher.

But hey, if it helps fans enjoy the experience more, by all means they should freak the f**k out about a possibility that is out of everyone's control.
