And perfectly equally? Someone who can just barely palm a basketball and Victor Wembenyama would be equally affected being asked to palm a soaking wet basketball?

The grip Purdy uses while throwing the ball is a 141 grip which means he's mostly just gripping from the top laces up on a ball so his mini hands can grip a wet ball just fine.

You're talking a difference of 1 inch in terms of hand size and it really doesn't say anything about grip strength. It's unknowable how much rain will affect the grip of either QB. Definitely two young players with not a lot of experience.

What I do know is its more likely that the passing games being limited in whatever form or fashion is probably going to have a greater affect on GB than SF, especially given the defensive talent each unit is facing.

Yep. I dont disagree with the first paragraph.

And dont disagree with the second paragraph with your wrapped in assumption that it affects both QBs equally. If thats the case, I like our running game and defense and think KS and Purdy will have an easier time getting the ball to playmakers. My only point is that if somehow Love and the Packers game is only slightly affected, and our passing game is largely affected, and thats a big if, then I would be concerned.

I suspect Kenny Pickett goes gloves cuz his tiny hands need all the help
Now if you want a real QB, neck and shoulders above the rest, that's Davis Mills

Listen I've been told by experts girth is more important than length.

My second paragraph was looking at the passing offenses as a whole… not just whether or not it equally affects both QBs. Obviously the ability to grip and throw a ball is just one aspect of passing in the rain. Wet conditions cause route running and timing issues as well. Jordan Love can grip the ball perfectly and if the timing and rhythm of the plays are off it's not going to matter much. Both offenses are likely to lose an appreciable level of precision in a wet game. To me, the Packers need their passing offense to be hitting on all cylinders to have a chance to win the game. They looked unstoppable last week (against a poorly prepared defense) in indoor conditions on artificial turf.

You want to make a strawman about handsize, because theres little evidence of Purdy playing well in the rain. Which could easily be explained by sample size, but could also be a potential issue.

Burrow's hand size is 9 inches, Mahomes hand size is 9 1/4, the same as Purdy. The whole hand size discussion is overrated. QB's don't fail because of the size of their hands but rather what is going on between their ears.

Neck size has shown to be a more important measurement than hand size.

Takeo Spikes would have been the GOAT QB. What a waste of talent.

In wet weather QBs with large hands are not affected so much, it actually gives the receivers an advantage since DBs can't break on the ball as they normally would in dry weather... unfortunately Brocky does not have big hands and he seems to get affected some with a wet ball.

What game did he have a hard time in bad weather? Purdy has the same size hands as Mahomes and slightly larger than Burrow

Looks like rain during the game folks.

Green Bay doesn't even have to play in it
I'll weigh in on the hand size, we all criticized Alex Smith's hands as tiny, and Brock's come in slightly bigger, 9 3/8 inches to Brocks 9.25, same as Mahomes (and Jimmy!). Burrow has tiny baby hands at 9 inches. Jim Druckenmiller had freakish 11.25 sasquatch hands that didn't do him any favors (on the field) so my point is, it's a crapshoot.

If this team can't handle Santa Clara weather they probably don't deserve to be in the playoffs lol
