Man o man, that's up there with the Tom Brady helmet catch for me. That's *INSANE* accuracy for a QB. Generational I tell you. Folks that say Purdy is just another good QB, don't watch stuff like that, in my opinion. That's Joe Montana/Steve Young level accuracy.
It was an absolute beautiful throw but I'm going to be a Debbie downer as it all amounted to nothing. It's hard to really put much stock into it when we punted 3 plays later.
I'm assuming you weren't around for the 1990 49ers vs Giants MNF game. It ended 7-3 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest ever.
I'm simply just saying that throw had nothing to do with the outcome of the game. One of the tweets earlier classified it as one of the best playoff throws ever but imo the throw has to mean something. It was a 10 out of 10 throw no doubt, but as far as impact on the game it had a very minimal impact
I hate making this a negative and being a Karen but it is my opinion.
