They are a bend, like Gumby bend but don't break unit. Their CBs suck and bite on misdirection, their safeties are great in run defense, the DTs are stout against the run and bring some pass rush and Hutchinson has been playing at a higher level than Bosa on the edge. He also lines up against RT so McKivitz is going to need a lot of help. LBs are opportunistic and Anzalone is fantastic against the run but they can be had in the pass game.

The scheme is blitz happy to create maximum pressure because they have zero confidence in their CBs holding up.

My overall understanding is that Their D line isn't bad at all.

hutchinson is a stud. Their interior are good at run blocking. Their second DE is okay. Their secondary is suspect and benefits from good d line play.

i personally don't see any reason why our offense should struggle. It may take a drive or two to get our run game gojng but I think Brock can carry it early on to open it up and stress them out.

Lions O line is only ELITE when healthy. They have good starting tackles, but their entire interior o line is either out ir super duper injured. Armstead and hargrave will be the key to disrupting the offense. If they get pressure - our corners will feast. My only real concern is Thomas hugging everyone all over the field. Dude is outta control

la porta is a savage but one of his knees is really banged up. If it wasn't the playoffs - he most likely wouldn't be playing. He's essentially on one leg.

My understanding and they mentioned on the broadcast last week, LaPorta was looking great going into the last game. The Ertz move is more related to Brock Wright.

I thought I heard the announcers say that la portas leg was better than the week before but not good. He was fighting through it. He's young so he's doing a good job

I think the lack of run game from the Lions was a direct reflection of La Porta's injury. He was still excellent as a receiving threat, but he was either taken out of the game or didn't look too hot run blocking. They got away with it because the Bucs just aren't that good.

I think you may be right, although Love absolutely faded in the clutch. When he absolutely had to make that throw, he instead threw two interceptions. There was nearly a third. Love got a ton of unexpected support from his running game. That opened up the passing attack. But when the game came down to making that clutch throw, he was given multiple opportunities. He failed each time.

Although the 49ers are showing cracks in that run armor, I absolutely believe this game will become a blowout by the third quarter. It will be close in the first half. The Lions may even take a lead into halftime. But I don't believe it will last.

If the Niners bring their A game like they did at Philly, then it should be a decisive win. Turnovers and any injuries can change that very easily.

The Niners are a better team nw but Detroit is an up and coming team. They've drafted well in recent years and all those poor finishes resulted in some real talent. On offense they're similar to the Niners with a better O line. Solid QB, Good RBs. Good young TE. One really good receiver. Their defense isn't as good but they do have an excellent edge rusher. Upgrade the CBs and add a stud LB and they could be a contender for some time. Very young at this point.
