How fitting was, "Don't stop believing", during halftime when every 49er fan was shell shocked at what was happening on the field.
I know this has been posted but I want to post it again.
It was cool seeing Harbaugh there for this game after the win

Personally all this fan policing is childish. People have emotions during the game, big deal.

Pointing out dumb takes is not policing. People come here to discuss the game, not parse through a bunch of toddlers smashing their keyboards. Don't wanna be called out for being a dumbass, then don't be a dumbass.

Discuss the game in the gameday thread ? Please explain what pearls of wisdom and nuances of the game you expect to derive from the gameday thread ? The expectation of the thread is no different than when you jump off your couch after a bad play and start cursing at your tv.

I don't cry like a little b***h when I jump off my couch. I act like I've seen a thing or two in my life. That doesn't mean I don't get upset, but there's a difference between fuming and screaming about how everyone should be fired. It bleeds over into all discourse here and is toxic. I say out the idiots who can't show an iota of restraint, and if that sounds like it may be you, then perhaps look into a mirror instead of crying foul about being called out.

I think the football gods set up an easy road for us in the playoffs, not having to face teams that could give us trouble. Yet we struggled against the number 7 seed that took a back door into the playoffs, and a team that hasn't sniffed a conference championship game since 1991. And now we face a guy that is 14-3 in the playoffs and has appeared in 4 of the past 5 Super Bowl. I'm looking at the big picture. I don't believe in luck. This team should be dominant given the talent on this roster. Instead we're winning off of the opponent's implosion. Don't want a 5-3 SB record which at this point appears inevitable…

This logic makes no sense.

That 7 seed knocked out the #2 seed. And completely destroyed them.

that Lions team knocked out the all mighty rams you were terrified over and a Bucs team that knocked out last years NFC champions.

The Lions and Packers are very good teams. They both beat the Chiefs this year too who you are now terrified of.

Exactly makes no sense. The pack got in late because of early season struggles and got it together at the end and blew out the #2 seed, came in hot. The lions not being there since 1991 is completely irrelevant, this is now! And the big picture is in 2019 we didn't have CMC, Trent, Purdy. We are better than 2019, the chiefs are not.

Eminem is a weirdo who spends too much time wondering what people on message boards think of him, and has the personality of a suburban soccer mom who can't stay out of the neighborhoods business. He has a reputation has this juggernaut battle rapper that nobody wants to go up against, yet his most prolific "beefs" were with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Ja Rule, basically 2 pop singers, and another pop singer who thought he was Tupac.

btw whatever hes come out with post-The Eminem Show has been mostly underwhelming

-Wheels start to fall off the bus and adjusts way too late.

I was there yesterday and Lions Jameson Williams dad was sitting right behind me, cool dude talked to him most of the game. He stated Campbell is still learning to be a real coach especially in big situations like going for it on 4th down when you could of had 3 points instead. He said their OC is the brains and if he leaves for a head coach job this team will suffer big time with his loss.

Joe has EVERYTHING to do with how this franchise came to prominence! Without Joe,Bill Walsh, Eddie D, Jerry Rice, and others, this franchise wouldn't be where it's at today. Never forget the past or isolate players who helped make this franchise what it is!

I think we may have gotten to the point that so many fans are too young to have watched him play and appreciate how he turned this franchise around.

true....100% true....

Nobody in the 1980 draft class jumps off the page at you as a dude who could be the next Joe Montana

but if some how they did not wreck the 1981 draft by prioritizing QB...They still could. draft one of the best Secondaries in the history of the NFL....and history tells us Steve Deburg eventually becomes a functional NFL-ish QB...maybe if he stayed with a GOAT candidate level play caller it could have worked out better for DeBurg.

Where it get's nuts.... Bill Walsh was a shotgun coach. The only reason he moved to under center was because Joe wanted it, and he had the feet to do it correctly. Walsh did not favor the drop back passing game because most NFL QBs did not have the coordination to stay in rhythm and drop back.

There was a wild rumor that Bill tried to trade Joe Montana for John Elway in 83, funny enough...they had pick 22 (traded back and drafted Craig at FB)....know what QB went after pick 22 in the 83 draft? Dan Marino....

We know of Bill Walsh chasing the bigger, faster, stronger version of Joe Montana the rest of his career...because Joe changed Bill Walsh....

I am sure you have head the Quote "xyz ...is the system" as in Westbrook saying he is the system.... that quote originated with Bill Walsh when he told Sports Illustrated "Joe Montana was the product of the system, Dan Marino was the system."

Personally, I think Bill Walsh was a bit of a tag behind on the Marino hype after the fact, the 49ers were entertaining replacing Joe in 83, and the best pure passer in the history of the NFL is on the board and you trade the pick away...so years later giving Marino his props..is just that...walsh tried to say he saw that coming..but did he really?

If Montana never happened on the 49ers, the system as it existed in the shotgun...would have worked for Marino, and he was available....so maybe.....things could have worked out in the end.

Who knows what could have happened, but QBs are the absolute center of Dynasties....no QB, no Dynasty.

Until 1981 the 49ers were the Lions. It's amazing that the Lions have gone this long without a championship but they've had some bad owners. bad GMs and poor coaches.
This game is being shown at 5:00 today in the NFL network. It will be a chance to watch without the angst. I'll probably record it and watch the 2nd half only. Fast forward through the commercials and you can watch a half in less than half hour.
