True.

Another "is this a team of destiny" moment I didn't even think about. On Purdy's interception his hand colliding with that of a defender's on the follow-through could've very well resulted in a, dare I say, season ending injury? But nothing happened. Maybe I'm delusional but IDGAF.
When I watched that I cringed if the guy hit his forearm instead of his hand/ wrist it could have been really bad. Anyway all is good.

EXACTLY! they all completely ignore the PI flag that flew across the screen, it would've been first and goal regardless of the catch.

The flag was picked up though

yes it was, because the niners declined the penalty

No it wasn't declined. They waved off the flag

Yeah they said there was no penalty on the play but I think they just said that cause the refs probably disagreed and it didn't matter anyways

I expect us to have a performance similar to that of Tampa Bay in SBLV.

That would be amazing. Lol our defense hasn't played well all playoffs, so im not banking on it.

im just hoping that the defense can pull itself together and hold the chiefs to less than 24, cause I think we can get AT LEAST 27.

but they had an awesome pass rush

This. The penalty would have been called if Aiyuk dropped the pass.

Who do we use to stop Chris Jones?
Kittle and Juice would help. We shall see
6 NFC title game appearances since the 2002 realignment. Not including this year. Behind the Patriots at 12 appearances. Second most.

But....no title.

We have bad luck in that when we make the SB, we never have the best QB. The complete opposite of the dynasty years.

We seem to get bad playcalling at the end of games (Both SB's). A jag giving the game away to the Giants. Or, a 4th QB against an elite team on the road.

The terrible Bucs made 2 conference title appearances. But they made them count.

Must win a title. Otherwise, it will be time to ask if we are cursed somehow or paying for the success in the 80's/90's
really? This shocks me. Lol It felt like both of detroits running backs had 100+ yards.

I think the Detroit coordinator got too cute and should of pulled a shanahan in 2019 NFCC - run the ball until it doesn't work anymore. It's the safest bet, drains the clock, weakens the defense over time, and we couldn't stop it.

idk why they hell they tried to run it with brown either, that was strange. I'm grateful but once again, too cute.

I agree, I initially thought it was a poor throw by Brock but you can tell the guy got in aiyuks way and slowed him down a lot, Aiyuk was almost able to grab it from there - so I think if the guy didn't PI then Aiyuk would of had a good chance at it.

They had an elite D at most positions. They had elite QB and receivers. They were a much better overall team. I just don't see a scenario, sans Mahomes getting hurt early, where we get a blowout like that. I see a scenario where the D finally puts it together. We play a full 60. Maybe win by 10.
Eagles Hurts & Slay made the pro bowl because Brock & Ward will be doing bigger and better things muahahha their our B's!.

Also, Gibbs from the Lions will make the pro bowl because CMC won't be there. lol

they should be grateful.

Wish he did that in the SB. We got a pick and were up by ten. Going run first, with very few passes, likely ensures we win that game.

Agree, and the pressure will come from the right side of the offensive line, most of the time.

In the Lions game, there were so many mistakes on the Lions part, plus a fluky bounce on the Aiyuk catch, that ended up getting us the win. Same was true with the Packer game, with their dropped picks.

Ugh. Not feeling good about this. My only hope is that the 49ers have snapped out of their funk. They have not looked sharp since that Ravens game.

That's too bad you feel that way. Have you ever tried maybe not solely focusing on the negatives? There's so f**king much to be juiced about yet here you are chicken little-ing the s**t out of everything. Enjoy the ride my dude.

Also, the Aiyuk play would have been a penalty and without the bump from the defender the pass was on target. Not sure why the media doesn't bring this up. They picked up the flag because Aiyuk caught the ball IMO.
