When he was with New England in 2001, he mentioned that the entire coaching staff was SO relieved that the Rams in the Super Bowl wouldn't run the ball very much. They knew if the Rams ran the ball regularly, they would have much less of a chance of winning because their defense wasn't really built to consistently stop Faulk (Patriots were actually 14-point underdogs going into that Super Bowl). Instead, Mike Martz was insistent on beating the Patriots by throwing the ball. They lost.
I REALLY hope we don't make the same mistake the Ravens did last week, or that the Rams did in that Super Bowl. We HAVE to feed CMC. THIS is the game to use every single bit of him.

I knew he was good but didn't realize he was an all pro. They're an awesome duo, for sure. Reid is a good safety too. their linebackers are athletic too, assuming gay plays.
their secondary is the strength of that team, it buys their sub par d line (minus jones of course) time to get pressure and sacks.
the way to beat them will be through the run game. We will need to use that and PA to get the most out of the pass game.

I love Sherman, but I still expect him to retire and go to the hall of Fame as a Seahawks.

Yes, this Ref means that Bosa will be held and man handled all day and nothing, I mean absolutely nothing will be called.
The Ref will be wearing a Kansas City shirt under his uniform.
Fine. Tell Feliciano and Brendl to hold Chris Jones.
Hope our Oline wears red colored gloves to blend nicely into the Chiefs jerseys 😉

Current #49ers players who were on the roster in Super Bowl LIV
— Jennifer Lee Chan - threads @jenniferleechan (@jenniferleechan) January 31, 2024
TE George Kittle
WR Deebo Samuel
FB Kyle Juszczyk
DE Nick Bosa
DL Arik Armstead
LB Fred Warner
LB Dre Greenlaw
P Mitch Wishnowsky
DL Kevin Givens was on the roster but was inactive for the game
i mentioned it was only 8 before. I think someone said like 11 but looks like 8 from our previous super bowl appearance. Weird cause it feels like a lot more than that. Lol

For those that aren't familiar, harbaugh was sherms coach in college. Doug Baldwin too but I guess he didn't really have draft selecting ability - FU to our gm. Drawing a blank on his worthless name

The 49ers need to make this Super Bowl about their #1 offense, which — ironically — is exactly what the Chiefs were able to do to win down the stretch of Super Bowl LIV. SF offense is a juggernaut outlier and the best of any unit on either side in this matchup: pic.twitter.com/jn2UWH1NU1
