One thing we got going for us, and we should see plenty of, is Deebo and CMC lined up in the backfield and all over the place. I don't care how good Spags is or how good they've been playing, this will stress them. If we execute correctly, we can own this defense.

Our defense on the other hand....dunno what they're going to do.

Agree, Chiefs are #25 against the run @ 4.5 ypc. Long, physical drives will be key IMO. Definitely aren't the 2000 Ravens.

They play a lot of two high shell coverage to defend the pass. Run defense is what they're giving up by doing this. Pound the rock between the tackles and force them into single high.

i mentioned it was only 8 before. I think someone said like 11 but looks like 8 from our previous super bowl appearance. Weird cause it feels like a lot more than that. Lol

Does Ward count? He was not on our roster but he was on the other side in that game.

Clearly we need a one or two or three turnover differencial in this match. It will help us a lot statistically.

Chiefs had a -11 turnover differential in the regular season. The only team to win a Super Bowl with a turnover differential that low was the 1983 #Raiders at -13

Past seasons mean nothing for now. Each year is it's own. But the more established and proven winner QB's being in the AFC would be advantage to them. NFC has different ones all the time because they are trying to find their dominant QB and team. It was Brady and the Patriots. Now it's Mahomes and the Chiefs. Manning, Roethlisberger and a few others involved. There is a reason they always keep getting there. There is a reason it's always different NFC QB's too. No consistently dominant team or QB.

If you go back to the 80's - 90's you could point to the 49ers. If you go back to the 90's you could say Cowboys. But what is the dominant, consistent force in the NFC lately?

We need to keep Mahomes and our defense on the sidelines. Control the time of possession, Run the ball, take every check down that is there. This is not the game to make risky throws. Let our YAC guys go to work. This has to be a CMC and Deebo game. They need to combine for 40+ touches in this game. 20 carries for CMC and about 7 or 8 receiving. About 10 carries for Deebo and another 7 or 8 receiving. This I don't expect to be an Aiyuk game because Snead might be the best corner in the league this season. Kittle needs to be involved also.
