Our defense has to hold KC to field goals instead of touchdowns in the red zone. Slow them down and if we can get two or more scores ahead, then we just run on them at that point - and ball hog the game to the end. We can't let KC have the ball at the end of the game, we all know what Patrick can do.

That really will be the key - holding the chiefs to field goals and not touchdowns. Need to bracket Kelce.

hard part of covering Kelce is he abandons his play route often if he sees open space. Lol him and pat are great about that. It's a major reason why he always seems open.

he's talked multiple times about how before the play him and Pat will say "hey if they show this and leave this spot open, I'm gonna take it." And then they'll run with it.

i think we should run a lot of man coverage, press him and double him. Make him work for it. Everytime he gets it - have Dre light his ass up.

Lol I have more faith Wilks will be more involved in eating a ham & deviled egg sandwich than creative schemes during the game lol. Maybe he will somehow ball out idk haha

Just seems like 1st quarter the opposing teams do whatever they want against our defense then if they feel like it..adjust some during the half lol. No urgency lol..they need to step UP

I hate how we have our d line just always play "hat on a hat". It's never creative, never scheme anything up. It's just one on one and beat your man. We have way too much talent for that. Idk why we rarely run stunts and other things like that.

IM REALLY hoping that wilks has some tricks up his sleeve that he is going to run fresh things to throw off KC.

jason Kelce was talking about playing Vic fangio (cause they hired him) and he talked about how he would throw things at you that wasn't in film and force you to figure out in the game, if you could. I wish we did stuff like that :(

i did like that we did something new on that fourth down where we showed man coverage but it was cover 2, threw Goff and made them miss their fourth down cause he had to scramble and made a bad pass.

we seem to be more creative in our coverages which is wilks strength and the secondary is so much better than last year its hard to imagine that Lenoir and Ward are both having all pro type of seasons with him on board. I don't know if you remember but we had like no CB2 last year we had no confidence in them

DEmo has made HUGE strides, it's awesome. Ward was always a good CB but he's even had material improvment in his game.

now if we can figure out how to fix our run game - we might be dangerous.

putting AA on the edge helped a lot in the 2nd half which makes me think its we have trouble setting the EDGE. Chase Young seems capable but he goes inside a lot trying to get to the QB a lot. Its like he tries to make the big plays. Gregory is just flat out awful at setting the edge and is a liability against the run

Also we are missing a DT like DJ jones who eats space.Hargrave has always been bad against the run but is one of the best interior DL when it comes to getting pressure (both Hargrave and AA are top 10 in pass rush win rate)

edit: i think we are missing a 3rd LB like Azeez last year he was really good against the run
