Can you name any other coaches who have taken their team to 4 conference championship games and 2 Super Bowls in the last 5 years?

Andy Reid.

Well then, Shanahan is right there with him.

Will this be the last game for Andy? Will he announce to his team this is it, prior to kickoff?

He might tell that to Bill Vinovich before the game.

I think he is looking to retire. After the celebration and whispers that we're happening on the sideline after the Ravens win.

And isn't going to retire after losing the Super Bowl.

Andy Reid took Philly to 5 straight NFCC and 1 superboel consecutively. Now he's taken the chiefs to 6 straight AFCC and 4 Super Bowls in a stretch.

belichick went to 8 straight AFCC with 4 super bowl appearances in one stretch.

Marv levy took the bills to 5 AFCC games In 6 years with four super bowl appearances.

it's happened quite a bit in history, but the good news is that they were all great coaches. I love Kyle.

LMFAO. It was rhetorical.

So the Green Bay Packers have a offensive line rated #6 in the league, The Lions line is #2 and now we are facing The Chiefs with the #4 rated offensive line. Purdy on the other hand has done everything this year behind a offensive line rated #17. Let that sink in, he has put up amazing stats with a line that really only has one true stud, Trent Williams. Just imagine for a moment what this team would look like with a top 10 rated offensive line. Every time I hear that Purdy is not him, or he is a game manager, I just want to bristle. All the talking heads want to tell you that BP has so many fantastic offensive players around him, but not one of them ever points out the difficulties he has worked around.

Whatever the source of this rating is…it's dogs**t. Jawaan Taylor is f'ing bad. One of the worst tackles in the NFL. Other tackle is mediocre. Plus…again…their best interior guy is hurt.

Weapons are great but dealing with pressure is a big deal.

Not sure Kyle will ever build a top 10 OL, let alone better.

I doubt it but who knows. I think this will be the last chiefs superboel we see for a few years, depending on how they do this off season.

AFC is LOADED!
burrow & the bengals
Rodgers & the jets
lawrence & the jags
stroud & the Texans
Lamar & the ravens
allen & the bills
Miami & Cleveland will be a challenge.

Chiefs roster is aging and they haven't replenished the weapons too well. Obviously, with Mahommes they'll always have a chance but this may be their last hoorah for a few years while they reload. Also, Mahommes doesn't seem to take great care of his body, so he may break down faster than some expect with the hits he takes.
I'm starting to feel like the allure of KC got to Buffalo and Baltimore. Buffalo by all means was playing the best football in the AFC. That was the team I didn't want to see the most. I think the success of KC the past 8 or so years makes teams play "off" against them. There's a bit of nervousness and tightness with the way those two teams played them.

Buffalo had them and went away from James Cook in the 4th quarter and decided to let Allen fling it all over the field. The game was close and they panicked because they know KC wins close games. Baltimore straight up abandoned what they do best after the first quarter. They thought they had to be something different to beat the Chiefs.

I see alot of fans say Reid is better than Kyle and Spags is better than Wilks. People sometimes forget Reid went to 4 NFCCG's in a row before he went ahead and lost a SB with the Eagles and McNabb. He also had a few playoff losses with the Chiefs before Mahomes. Give Shanahan his chance with an upgraded QB this time around and let's see what happens. He will put on a masterclass this SB. I'm certain of it.

The team cannot go into this game with a defeatist attitude and overthink this gameplan. We can really win this if we run CMC at least 20 times, play action, and bootlegs. The Chiefs were super average this year and the Niners can absolutely dictate the flow of this game. They cannot be afraid. Know you are the better team!

This super bowl will determine if Andy Reid is below or above .500 in Super Bowls.
0-1 with the eagles
2-1 with the chiefs (soon to either be 2-2 or 3-1).

this super bowl will have a lot to do with their legacies. Not that they won't be great but how close will they be to catching other legends.

he did win one with the packers as an assistant coach though.

Buffalo managed the game terribly at the end. Their defense was super depleted too.

i have no f**kin clue what the ravens were trying to do. Dumbest s**t I've seen in a while, BB has more rings than they did runs that day.

I could see him hanging in up if they win, but that just isn't in the cards for them this year.

My guess is BAL tried to make it Lamar vs Mahomes. Kyle's gameplan should be centered around CMC/Kittle/Deebo > KC's defense. Who cares about beating the narrative that Brock is this or that, ride the All Pro dawgs on the offensive side of the ball. Run behind Trent, design 'simple' plays that get those All Pros the ball and let those guys carry the offense.

Well, THB I think Kyle fell into that same trap on X-mas. It seemed like Kyle was trying to make it Brock vs Lamar, so that Brock would get MVP. This will be a different type game, and I want to see Kittle primarily featured.
omg the anticipation is killing me and we aren't even throught he bye week yet. i think i need to buy some edibles to keep my anxiety at bay

Yes, totally agree.

Rely on the playmakers, get Brock comfortable, and then when you least expect it, HE WILL CARRY IT HIMSELF!!
Don't know if it has been already been said but when you look at KC roster, one things i saw is this: their starting DL is pretty good and they have a superstar in jones, but they also have had some injuries, latest was Omenihu: their depth is pretty thin…hopefully our run game can worn them down by the second half.
I watch some game of KC and they tend to be really pedestrian on offense, scoring wise, in the second half . I can see a scenario where the score is close in fist half and we dominate more on more on the second half and we cruise to victory…hopefully🤞
