All the money, time, energy, and draft picks was spent to build this super team and a good portion of the roster is now in its twilight years so if the 9ers don't win it now, then they probably never will for the foreseeable future.
If you lose the SB like we did in 2019-20 season it ruins the team chemistry and the next season is fubar. Like eagles this season.
I'm watching the replay right now on NFL Network & it's at the painful part. 3rd & 15 & we let Tyreek Hill get wide open down the field for 44 yards. That was the beginning of the end.
I agree that the 49ers need to win it now. There won't be a better opportunity than this year. If SF can't pull it off this year, idk when it's going to happen.
That said, I'm confident that they can, and will.

I heard that this upcoming Superbowl will have the same head referee in the same Super Bowl when Niners played KC in 2019. The ref. refused to throw the flag on holding calls. Bosa was being held on numerous occasions. Kittle was thrown a flag for offensive pass interference. This is concerning.

This will also allow Fred Warner and Dre Greenlaw to concentrate more on Pacheco and Mahomes (scrambling).
Then who defends rice?
I'm just irritated that it's the SB and we are going against a WR named Rice. This is historical BS. Where is Goodell?

We can't play that soft coverage, Mahomes kills zone coverage. As long as our DB's can stay with their WR's I think we will be good. They had drop issues earlier in the year and honestly besides Kelce they really don't scare anybody. Ward should be able to lock down Rice and as long as we double Kelce there isn't any real option for Mahomes. I guarantee if we play that soft coverage the Chiefs will not punt the ball.
Let someone other than Kelce or Rice beat you

The only way to defend Kelce is hit him off the line. The teams that have done that have held him in check. Often times they would do it with a DE or a blitzing linebacker. If it is Ward alone in coverage it will be a long day. Kelce is to crafty, big and driven to let it happen. He plays TE like a basketball center waiting for a pass. He uses his body to block the defenders. I have watched him too long.

I watched the Chiefs pretty much suck for the entire season and offense was sputtering and people saying Kelce was washed... then the last month theyre the best team in football all of a sudden. They have vulnerabilities of course but not as many as the 49ers have and the Chiefs have Mahomes to make up for a lot of that.

On paper and roster IMO we should be better. But they way we are playing at the end of the year and playoffs looks very vulnerable. We get in deep holes and try to come back. Earlier in the year we were blowing teams out. The 49ers hardly seem like they are peaking. In fact you can argue they are not playing their best football. Mahomes and the Chiefs struggled during the year. But you can never count out a Mahomes team in the Super Bowl. Who cares about the year? Mahomes in the Super Bowl is different.

No mention of the Superbowl with KC and Tampa Bay, or Tom Brady's last Super Bowl. The Bucs, under Todd Bowles defence were very aggressive and caused Mahomes to run for his life. Why can't the Niners use the same blueprint? KC even had Tyreke on the roster and was a dangerous threat. I don't see the same scary team from KC. Steve Wilks better have a good game plan with two weeks to prepare. Can't have soft zone coverages. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

The Chiefs defense might be better than 2019 but their run defense is extremely suspect. Raiders backup rb zamir white ran for 150 yds. Mahomes had a bad game. The packers ran for 130 without Aaron Jones, Mahomes had another bad game. The eagles defence abused the chiefs on the road and Mahomes had another bad game. The chiefs are very beatable. This is Patrick Mahomes worst year
Their Defence has covered for their offence.

They are playing better teams right now. The playoffs are different than the regular season. That being said they made the adjustments and came through. Part of being a champion.
