I think that one Chiefs fan that was here has the right idea about defending Kelce. Hit him at the LoS so he doesn't get a clean release. Then incorporate what Luke Kuechley said about not taking your eyes off Kelce since he doesn't run traditional routes.
I have seen it work more than once. Typically in our own division. The Broncos employ it often. I've seen him beat double teams and that causes other issues
The only thing that makes it difficult is he motions a lot for a TE. This makes it more difficult
Kelce is big enough and powerful enough to just blow right through double teams. That won't stop him.
I have watched every Chiefs game since Kelce started to be a force. The only thing that worked is if he is chipped off the line. In fact I have seen him chipped twice on some occasions. If the answer is Ward one on one he will be abused. If he faces Zone it will be even worse. He knows where the holes are every time. Him and mahomes are on a level not seen before. Watch the 13 second video from the Bills game a couple years ago. Even as a non chiefs fan it is something to watch. Like they were playing against sixth graders. Abuse at the line is the only thing that works consistently. It does frustrate him
bump him, chip him. throw off that timing will/can throw wrenches in their plays
